🌼 DAFFODIL 🌼
Time for a bit of a ‘serious’ post.
So, for a while now I’ve spoken about ‘a close family member’ that’s been diagnosed with cancer, but I rarely speak in length about it, only a passing comment.
I know it’s not just me in that situation. It affects 1 in 3 of us. And it’s such a powerful and life-shattering thing, that it affects all those close to it, not just the person diagnosed.
It’s hard to comprehend the affect it has, or how many people it affects, until it happens to you. Then, it seems everyone you know and everyone you speak to, has some sort of connection to it.
But with the battle against cancer, also comes the cost. Not only the emotional and physical cost, but the genuine financial cost. All the travelling, accomodation if needed, appointments with different doctors and oncologists, scans, tests, surgeries, it’s a costly battle, but one we fight because, well, there’s no other option really.
I wanted to design something whereby I could donate proceeds to the Cancer Society. They do so much for patients and their families going through the battle with the big C, from accomodation, to travel costs, and everything in between.
In our house, we know first hand how amazing the Cancer Society are and all the help they give to those that need it.
You see, the ‘close family member’ of mine that was diagnosed, is my Dad.
So on behalf of my family, we wanted to do something to give back and help other families in the same position.
Whew! Ok so after a long and soppy post we actually reach the details!
The ‘Daffodil’ Rattle, will cost $20 as is or $23 with engraving, and $10 from every one sold will be donated to the Cancer Society.
Please ensure orders are placed and fully paid by August 22nd to ensure delivery in time for Daffodil Day on the 31st ❤️
(Though these will remain a stocked item after Daffodil Day, and proceeds will continue to be donated 💖) They’re also accompanied by a gorgeous mini-print card from @sweetpetitenz
but they’re a bit of a surprise 😉❤️ #daffodilday
