Another image from New Year’s Day in Sedona. I promise my wife is safer than it appears. 😊
Here are more of Sedona most from this morning with the low clouds, and the rain that fell overnight.
It’s not every day you get to walk on a lake.

A hike to a different world ↗️⛰
"Life is full of give and take. Give thanks and take nothing for granted".
Today as I was looking through our photos from our last hike ad editing here and there, I came across this picture that Tuananh snapped and got to thinking about the things that have happened all because of Instagram. Y'all, I swear if you had told me just 5 years ago that I would be running a hiking themed account on Instagram with my husband (and planning a thru-hike of the AT) I would say "are you sure you have the right person"?
And yet, here I am, and I am LOVING every second of it! It's super cool to me that our very first hike that basically got this Cauble Life ball rolling was Blood Mountain, and that is going to be one of many many mountains that we climb on our way to Maine. ...
The reason that this photo made me so nostalgic is because my Atlanta Trails hat is front and center (technically front and right, but you get what I mean). Around this time last year I had just about given up on our account. We lived in the suburbs of Atlanta, so we could rarely go on hikes in January due to travel distance and time. I also had school work piling up and I just felt like our page was going nowhere.
But then I saw that Atlanta Trails was opening up their ambassador applications, and I thought - let's go for it! When we were accepted, I couldn't believe it!
Because of Atlanta Trails, the fire was re-lit under us, and we were super excited to grow our account and grow as adventurers as well. We have met so many awesome people through Instagram and out on the trails, and most of them say that they found us because of the Atlanta Trails ambassador tag, So we are always thankful and humbled that saw something in us and let us be part of the team!
If you want any sweet Atlanta Trails gear like this awesome hat or some super comfy shirts - remember that you can get 10% off your purchase using our code "thecaublelife". -----------------------------------------------------------------

Snowy, foggy day. It is always nice when you know Pima county snow plows are on the road.
Do Peruvian mountains look interesting to you? I’d love to go explore The Andes! 🏔🥾 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Found the new wave this past weekend 🌊
Sunday morning in Phoenix was unusually foggy, so I took the opportunity to explore somewhere local! The network of trails around South Mountain could keep an avid hiker amused for years. I started out from the Beverly Canyon trailhead, and connected several trails to make a loop. With the blooming brittlebush (the yellow flowers in the foreground) and the low clouds, it was a perfect morning hike!

I am in love with my new creations. These ones are claimed by me, but you can have your very own for only $24.
Not sure 2018 could’ve ended in a better way.
