As mentioned on stories (on @_mindful_nutrition_
earlier I am feeling pretty rubbish. It's gradually got worse over the last couple of hours and I'm looking forward to Noah's second nap so that I can put my feet up.
Today's lunch for the pair of us was smashed avocado and eggs on toast with a little spinach. I added lemon juice, seeds and a dressing to mine.
Avocados contain lots of healthy fats, immune supporting vitamins and antioxidants.
The spinach contains vitamin C, which we all know supports our immune system along with beta carotene, which may support the infection fighting parts of our immune system.
The eggs contain protein, also important for our immune system (protein is pretty important in general really but il rant about that another day). You don't necessarily need animal protein for every meal but I chose eggs to have today as they are also high in zinc, as are the pumpkin seeds.
The dressing I had is one I use regularly, it is a pinch of cayenne pepper, teaspoon of local honey, teaspoon of turmeric, teaspoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of @bragguk
Apple cider vinegar (by far the best I've tried)
This afternoon I will make myself some honey, lemon and ginger tea.
