Flashback to Shell Beach in WA, after penning a piece about Shark Bay World Heritage Area for the @toyota_aus

Nothing excites me more than exploring a new town and its hidden beaches 🤤🌊
My husband’s friend Brodie is losing his wife, Zahra, to cancer. Brodie wants to spend the remaining time with his wife. Obviously, this means not being able to work, he runs his own business and supports their 4 year old son. My husband asked me to auction a painting, so we could give the funds to support them, so I am placing this piece for auction. 100% of the money will be given to the Kuyer family.
This artwork, ‘The Breakthrough’ is one of my first whale paintings and it was used as my logo to officially start me as an artist. I have kept this painting because of its personal significance. When I was thinking about what painting to auction for the Kuyer family, I felt like this one was the right one, because sometimes we need to let go of matters to us, when others are in need.
Starting Bid $100
Current Bid $350
To place your bid, please head to Facebook.com/nellyfreeartist ‘The Breakthrough’ 30 cm x 30 cm – water colour and ink on 100% cotton paper (artwork only, no frame). Artwork will be posted internationally if winner is outside of Australia.
Auction ends Friday 31th August 2018, 10am AEST

Gnaraloo Bay - sunshine, pristine blue water, a drift and a heap of reef to snorkel 💙
Gnaraloo is one of many working pastoral stations along the west coast and our introduction to the Ningaloo Reef, the largest fringing reef in Australia. In other words: step off the sand and put your face in the water and voilà - insane reef! 🌿🐟🌵🐠🐚
Once the wind subsided, this was a bloody good place to start our snorkelling adventures again 😌🏊🏾♂️
We got to witness an Australian Humpback Dolphin hunting.
It caught a huge fish, here it is proudly showed us its catch. Then it lost the fish for a second but managed to catch it again.
So I have sailed the seven seas alone...
Trying to find a shore I can call home...
But all I found are different flags, double speaking diplomats and do not have time for that...
So I'll declare my own sovereign state, the borders based on the bottoms of my boots...
And I will open embassies wherever the hell I please....
And in assemblies you will see me sat but never on my knees.

Did you know the loggerhead turtle is the most endangered species of sea turtle in the world? 🐢 Luckily for us, @WesternAustralia
’s Coral Coast is home to the two major breeding sites during turtle nesting season. These locations are the Turtle Bay area of northern @DirkHartogIsland
, in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area and the Ningaloo Marine Park, accessed via Exmouth. This beautiful turtle was spotted near Coral Bay by @danielthomasbrowne.
Have you seen turtles whilst you’ve been exploring our slice of paradise?
We have had epic glass out conditions here on the Ningaloo the last few days! .
