~ A T T H E B A R ~
The white-themed space was definitely what brought me back here, but this time with my friend @ayo_oje
, after once visiting on a closed day, dang!
While looking through the menu, it was a bunch of long unfamiliar names. I figured i had to play it safe this time, even if i almost had the ‘Fettucine El Ragu’.
WHAT I EVENTUALLY HAD:
- Age of Innocence (a non-alcoholic cocktail) N3,000; and
- Cheese cake N3,100
had the bitter sweet (a signature cocktail) N3,500
Age of Innocence- 9/10
With a blend of Orange, pineapple, Kirsch & Banana, i already knew what to expect. And when it was served, it was all I hoped it will be. Sweet, sweet & juicy.
Cheese cake- 7/10.
I was going to have the ‘Fettucine El Ragu’, which is basically pasta with some meat sauce, but the sauce was currently out of stock. So, i had to settle for the cheese cake for desserts, knowing fully well I’m not a fan of cheese after my ‘meh’ experience with the mac & cheese @south_social
but still hoping for the best, cause bad experiences can’t hold you back.
In all honesty, it was better than i imagined it to be, both in the presentation & in the taste. And for the first time in forever, i decided to eat the leaf that accompanied my order, after confirming it was ‘mint leaf’ anyway, and I’m glad i didn’t regret that decision. I also loved that it was cold & creamy with a splash of berry juice around it.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
- The menu is somewhat on the pricey end.
- They are usually closed on Mondays; and
- The outdoor space which has a bar & a pool is only accessible from 5pm.
It is a white-themed space with splashes of greens, and even though it’s very peaceful, serene & beautiful, it was a hostile reception - as it seemed like the waiters & the white manager were only after the bags and not necessarily a great customer relationship that could lead to a memorable/long lasting experience as compared to places like @thehouselagos
If I ever revisit, it would be for my pasta. hopefully, they would now have the sauce restocked. ❤️
