You’re not at war with your body.
You’re at war with your mind.
Bold statements? Maybe.
I know there are some cases where your body truly is working against you ie: pcos, thyroid, etc. but MOST of the time, the struggle is due to beliefs you hold dear.
Things like “I’ve always been fat so I’ll always be fat,” “I hate veggies & there’s no way I could ever eat healthy,” and “I’m just genetically wired to be overweight my whole life.” Sister, there’s sooooo much I could say. But the insta character limit will only allow for this one today:
Your past does not need to define your future.
Sure, if you let it- it will. And you’ll continue to write the same chapter over and over. But you know that saying, “if you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done??” That’s true. The thing is, what trips most people up, is what should be the last part of that ever-popular quote:
If you want something you’ve never had
you have to do something you’ve never done
and that means you have to THINK things you’ve never thought.
Because this is what’s true:
Your thoughts dictate your choices.
Your choices dictate your habits.
Your habits dictate your reality.
So that body you’re mad at? Is the result of your choices over the past year...meaning it’s the result of your THOUGHTS over the past year.
Your body is magical.
Don’t live the rest of your life wondering what it’s capable of...conquer your mind so you can find out.🖤 Where to start? I recommend You Are a Badass by @jensincero
