Most quickly painted piece so far, considering 'zooming out' from the subjects of these again so the negative space becomes the largest plain of space in the image. Thinking about the notion of 'object' within the works. If you have thoughts on this, let me know:

Colouring in a little friend for this guy ✨✨
A4 figure study, oil on paper. Years since I’ve painted one of these but I fancied doing something a bit different today. DM for enquires.
A small painting I did for my sister. I like how it came out, but it was really finicky and different to what I usually paint. ***Kind of unrelated, but I’ve been off Instagram for a while because I’ve found it was becoming unhealthy for me. Instagram is a wonderful way to discover new artists and inspiration for me, but it’s also a platform that can stir up doubt and anxiety. I found myself only doing art in order to post it, and that was not something I wanted for myself. So these past few months I’ve been painting and drawing what I want, with no pressure whatsoever. It’s been awesome! I find I have a lot more time and creativity when I am away from social media. I’ll still post on Instagram, but only when I want to. Thanks for reading!
Tried a new form of art today that is known as 'Cubism'.
Cubism is a style of painting in which the subject matter is presented as geometric forms shown from multiple simultaneous vantage points. But there’s more to it than that. -
Philosophically, it’s a theory of pictorial democracy, where every aesthetic element is valued the same. -
Intellectually, it’s an admission that life is complex and can only be understood from multiple perspectives. -
Metaphorically, Cubism is the Internet: it’s a tool for fully exploring a subject, not to get a surface image of what it seems to be, but rather to understand its essence, and to achieve a vision of it that’s complete.
You're truly awesome if you read all the way till here. Love you and take care!

She’s doing a series on “Exploring the Elements”, and it will make you want to RUN to your journal to get busy and start experimenting.

"Shining star" acrylic on 5x7 canvas board. I just love all of the creatures of the sea. Starfish are so beautiful and resilient. ⭐️
