Should’ve stayed inside today, I much prefer the mundane
YELLOW // When friends take pictures of you, you draw self portraits because drawing other people is daunting 🌙
If you want a portrait drawn in this style do hit me up though yeah 🤙🏼

There are so many things that the Lord has been stirring in my heart recently. Some a little more sensitive a subject than others and I’ve struggled with posting them. Maybe tomorrow, but tonight I want to share something I’ve found very helpful in the last few years.
Proverbs 27:6 says,
“Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.”
I like the amplified version also, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern], But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda].”
A real true friend that genuinely loves and cares for you will be honest with you even if it might hurt your feelings or make you angry, if it will help you to not make a mistake or if it will help you to be a better person. And when I turn and look at my own life and the moments I’ve been corrected this verse has deepened my love for my friends that cared enough to say something. They were more concerned with my life staying on Gods path for me that even though it might tick me off they were honest with me. My pastor says that we all need GODLY friends that hold our “shut-up card”. We all need friends that can say “dude what are you doing?!” We all need friends that care more about where our soul is going than making sure we aren’t mad at them. We all need encouragement and love but we all also need faithful friends. When you look at your friendships from this perspective it’s hard to get offended when you’re corrected because you’re so thankful to know they love you enough to say “knock it off!” If you are not sure if you have friends like this then pick the ones you think might be them and just tell them “hey, I give you permission to correct me when you see me being stupid or maybe getting off track!” And make sure you have a few friends that have a greater faith than you do! They will be the ones that help encourage you and also be honest! Community is so so important. When God created the world after each thing He said it was good But when He created Adam God said it was not good for Man to be alone and He created Eve! Community is so important to encourage and refine us! 💗
I’m waiting for the train to come...
