"Yellow Brick Road"
I ain't ashamed,
I keep to my own lane.
If it makes you happy,
You can drop your own blame,
Whatever releases your insecurities.
I won't carry the weight,
I'll just dump it off after my sessions,
Whether in music, films, or stories...
I'd rather build up the tensions.
Before giving you the full satisfaction.
I know the game to keep,
You coming back for more.
Setting a new record with each new score.
Points add up, simplified,
This is my sport.
Using humor and honesty,
To point out my flaws.
Remaining slick and thick,
Instead of the status,
Of faux pas,
I’m searching for your applause.
I’m focused to win my fans back,
I won’t stop,
Until I’ve shown you I’m on track,
Like the yellow brick road in Oz.
I got my new courage, my new heart,
And my new brain.
Learning to dance in my own rain.
Accepting the things I can’t change,
Along with my past and the mistakes,
Life’s too short to live in regret,
Forgive, but never forget.
I’m learning to bend
While I still have the chance.
