🤸🏼♀️QUICK FULL BODY AT HOME STRETCH ROUTINE🤸🏻♂️
Here’s a quick and simple stretch routine you can do at home! 👌🏼
Whether it be in a nice quiet room, at the gym, on the floor at work🙊, or while you’re sitting around watching TV 📺!
Target most areas of the body, relax, breathe and hold until you feel the tension in the muscle and fascial tissue release 😌
*Note* breathing can really aid with stretching. If the stretch feels quite intense, don’t force it.... go to the point of resistance and hold... take a deep breathe in and out, feel the body relax, and you will notice eventually the muscle will let go slightly... you can then try push the stretch a bit deeper 👍🏼

Let’s talk about forearms! Your forearms include many muscles that help to move your wrist and fingers.
Most of the muscles that help move the wrist, hand, and fingers are actually in our forearms (otherwise our hands would be massive and that would prevent us from being able to perform fine motor movements!).
Here is a stretch for the forearm flexors and extensors (swipe to see this one!). These are especially helpful if you work with your hands and fingers a lot (office workers, those working in the trades, and even massage therapists - we need to stretch too!).
Be sure to hold these stretches for at least 90 seconds. Also, be sure you’re always stretching warm muscles, so do this stretch after work or after a hot shower. Keep in mind you may not reach full range of motion here, just hold the stretch when you feel a slight pull.
Let me know if you try this stretch out or if it’s already part of your stretching routine.
This is a long one need a new way to stretch out your arms and shoulders after or before a workout or just waking up to start the morning try this. Grab any type of staff or pole or even a broom stick .You don't need to spin it but it definitely helps warm up your wrists and forearms. If you want over time you can find ways to adjust the shoulder resistance by moving your arms closer together btw take your time nice and slow eventually you will obtain the flexibility in your shoulders#flexibility #stretching #themagicstick #itssohard #thatswhatshesaid #armstretch #shoulderstretch

Day 3- 12 Days of Wellbeing. Lengthening the torso feels great after a few days of sitting, eating and talking with friends and family over Christmas holidays.

🎄Day 5: Upper Body Flexibility🎄
Flexibility is “the quality of bending easily without breaking” & refers more to a muscle stretch rather than joint movement, but is a component of mobility. These stretches are great after any upper body workout, playing sports, or sitting at your desk all day.
✅To maintain flexibility gains, it is suggested to hold each stretch at least 15-30 seconds and repeat 2-4 times, 3 days a week (ACSM, 2006).

“Christmas is far and away my favorite holiday. I love everything about it. From the event that inspired it, to hoping for a white one, to wrapping presents. But mostly I love having family and friends gathered, and sharing traditions.” ~E.H. ✨
My folks are coming to town this weekend, aaaaaaand we are seeing my favorite ballet of all time tonight! Thank goodness the boys actually enjoy going to this ballet with me - or maybe they’re just being good sports, or maybe they just think the giant rat king is cool 🐀, or maybe they love the candy at intermission...what-evs, either way, I’m grateful ;) 🙏🏻 #retiredsugarplumfairy
Eagle Arms: do it the Yin way.
Target area: shoulder blades; upper arm
Option 1: standing and relaxing your back at the wall bring your arms up. The higher you lift them the more you will open your shoulder blades. Option 2: lie on your belly cross your elbows over each other and bring the hands up; to increase the stretch lift your elbow up on top of a block or blanket. Option 3: lie on the back cross the elbows and bend them, rest them on your forehead.
Where do you feel your best stretch?

This gem - active stretching for muscles you didn’t know wanted your attention, and do. ▽
You can add some mobilizing movement, the way I do here, and then hold it. You want to press your elbows into each other, aim your thumbs toward the ground/spread your fingers wide and stay active. Your hands and wrists will drift back toward your face, try to keep your shoulders elbows and wrists and a 90° angle.
Remember to smile and breathe!
Control your breathing and keep focus.
Feel your muscle and the Qi which running around your body.
Never stress yourself if you fail to nail an asana, slow it down and feel your body, try to understand what's your body trying to tell you.
Never force yourself to break your body limit, it takes time, never rush.
Just relax and feel the flow.
