-Where to start?
-We often compare ourselves to others and wonder how they will judge us, what will they think if we were to mess up in a speech, what if you go to that party you have had booked for 2 months and you don't fit in, we often worry too much on what other people think of us. We shouldn't focus our worries on things we can't change, and one thing we can't change is another person's thoughts, we compare ourselves to the best version of other people, the version of themselves that they want to show us on, Do you honestly believe this is the true version of them? If you do you are wrong! By learning to worry less about things that our out of your control, you can learn to ease anxiety symptoms and start to enjoy the things you used to. Anxiety does not define you as a person it is an emotion that is well known to misfire on a regular basis for the many and not the few!! -
-Try changing your what if thoughts to more positive ones, for example I feel anxious and I really don't feel like going to that party but what if I turn up and actually enjoy it what if I make new friends or catch up with people I haven't seen. Or what if I did mess up in a speech maybe it may get a giggle or two but maybe it will be the best thing the ppl have seen all day after a long boring day of speeches!!!
-When we change our outlook on things our emotions react in turn, we cannot predict the future so why not paint a brighter thought 💪💪💪💪

💥 I ate cookies, pie and drank wine all through the holidays. #Truth
❓❓So what changed❓❓ .
✅Week 2, my hair STOPPED coming out in chunks in the shower. .
✅week 4, I slept just like I always did but woke up rested and ready to face my day instead of still drained and tired. .
✅Month 2ish, notice I was no longer constantly sore. I was actually recovering from my 3 days a week workouts instead of being in constant pain. .
✅Anxiety and panic attaches that started during my second pregnancy were no more. .
✅And OMG the brain fog!!! Kids eat your brain cells people I swear! 🤣 Thank God that shnit is now gone and I can think clearly once again! .
✅I lost 4lbs total, but as you can see I’ve lost a significant amount of inches, gained muscle, lost fat, and went down 2 pant sizes. .
And, that has not even been my favorite benefit from this easy one simple change I made. .
My favorite has been the energy ⚡️to chase my kids, to pick them up (both at the same time usually)💪, to play tag, to run🏃🏻♀️ , to just live life to the fullest and make memories with them without the constant ache and push through the “normal” feeling of just dealing that I had gotten. Hormone balance, thyroid supports and adrenal support really do matter. .

A panic attack is a feeling of sudden and intense anxiety. During a panic attack, physical symptoms can build up very quickly these can be feeling short of breath, feeling hot, dizzy and faint. Here are some things I do when experiencing a panic attack it’s quite a scary feeling especially if you haven’t had one for some time and they appear out of the blue. But I always remind myself to come back to the breath and it always diffuses Panic.

Update: I have found multiple things to worry about and all is right in the world.
Today I read something that hit home for me. Anxiety -big or small- is anxiety. Being a new mama, in a new city and state, making a new life for my family has had it’s tough moments. But I am grateful for the skills and techniques I have practiced & learned that have helped me overcome these moments. I am happy to be diving deeper into my Mindfulness Practice so I can share with you the tools and practices to help overcome your obstacles 🙌🏼💯
I feel all emotions that arise in me.
If ever I’m feeling anxious, I take a moment to ask myself why I’m feeling this way. If I’m worried about something that is out of my control, there is no point in worrying about it, simply because I have no control over the situation. If I’m worried about something that is in my control, I don’t need to worry because I am in control of the situation.
If anxiety visits me, I stop what I’m doing and notice my feelings. I close my eyes and focus on my breathing.
I release myself from this moment of anxiety.
I am calm.
I am safe.
I am love.
I am peace.
All is well with me”

If there’s one aspect of mental health that is more terrifying than most, it’s the panic attack. No matter how many you experience, each one is it’s own ordeal, and brings with it the same feeling dread. Ellie Goulding shares her experience:

I get it to a point. I LOVE eating/ chewing my food as well. But remember we should be having 6 small meals a day, so that’s leaves PLEnnnnnty of meals to eat!

Anxiety is often about control. You’ve likely experienced something not going the way you’d like and getting hurt or embarrassed.
But trying to control outside factors is impossible and will only exacerbate the anxiety.

Ativan is a potent, short-term use tranquilizer that induces sedation and muscle relaxation. Yesterday would have been my Dad’s 67th birthday. He was looking forward to being retired. I post today’s note in honor of him. 🙏
Around mid-2016 I listened to a guided meditation that told me to “Embrace what serves your higher purpose and discard that which does not serve”. Needing a mantra of my own at the time, I sat with that thought and made it my own by choosing to focus on the good in the day to day, and NOT focus on the negative aspects. That evolved to my own mantra creation, EWIG- Embrace What Is Good. I put EWIG sticky notes everywhere that year and it has stuck with me since.
Fast-forward to last summer. After my Dad’s passing, I discovered his journal, a journal I had given him for his birthday in 2014. His entries were sporadic but spanned those couple of years. On the inside cover he wrote that the thoughts inside were his private thoughts that he wished to leave for his family and to “Take what is good and just discard the rest.”
I was elated to find my Dad’s words and doubly so to find that single sentence on the first page- meant for me. His wisdom was EWIG. If anything, finding that sentence felt like the universe giving me a hug when I needed it most.
I tell this story to say if there is any directive to live by, “take what’s good” is a good place to start. As someone who suffers with depression and anxiety, EWIG is sometimes all I have energy for. If I’m having a bad day and can’t seize the day like I hope to, or even uncurl from my blankets, at least I can find my small gratitude, say thank you, and try again tomorrow. Sometimes that loosens the knot of my anxiety and eventually my fears unravel and fall away.

I think a lot of artists struggle with the anxiety surrounding putting themselves out there. I’ve been creating a lot of art in the past month or so, but I haven’t really shared any of it. I think it’s really easy to get down on ourselves and say we won’t post because it doesn’t fit our feed, or a piece seems stupid after we sit on it for a few days. We can pick ourselves apart and say our art doesn’t mean anything and we have no direction. It’s so easy to come up with a million excuses not to post or get out there, but in the end if you do nothing, then nothing will happen. SO, I’m gonna really try to post more. Some things will most likely be ugly, and I will probably archive a lot, but I’ll try to share what I’m thinking and going for with each piece so that hopefully someone will see my progression and get a bit of inspiration or perspective that will help them along their way as well. So whether you’re an artist too or you’ve got something else you’ve been wanting to pursue, let’s put ourselves out there and see what happens yeh? 🍻
