Today was day 6 of the most intense workout program I’ve ever done! A bunch of the ladies on our team are doing the same program, and we were ALL struggling this week! Emotionally, mentally, and physically. We had many ups and downs for sure! It was amazing though to see everyone leaning in for support! We lifted each other up and it’s nice to know we are all going through the same thing. We laughed and cried and had all the feels!!! 😀😅😫😓😂 This journey is not always sunshine and rainbows. It’s NOT always easy for any of us. Change takes hard work and determination, and to me it’s a lot more fun with a group of friends to back me up! Friends I can message and say “ummm...I can’t feel my legs...did you get your butt kicked today too??” Hahaha Everything seems doable when you can laugh your way through it and have some fun 💕 *
Thankfully tomorrow is active rest day 🧘🏼♀️ Lots if stretching, heating pads, and yoga!! 🙂 Then another week of butt kicking!!! It’s not too late to join us! Well I made it. I have managed to stick to drinking water and sleeping 8 hours each night this week, and what a difference it has made to the way I had been feeling. I don't feel so spaced out or been having any of the outta body experiences. The pain in my tummy has gone and I haven't had a head ache at all this week. I have been feeling fairly level headed. It just goes to show how much of impact lack of looking after myself and the lack of sleep has on my mental and physical health. This is something I need to continue working on, because I deserve it.

Got a little pre-workout snuggle this morning! I was feeling kind of blah and not super motivated. It was raining out and I just wanted to sit with my coffee and watch cartoons with my little. But he saw my exercise stuff out and said “Mom! You gotta do your workout!” 💕 That was all the motivation I needed! I love that my kids are my biggest supporters. I love that they see what I’m doing. Taking care of your body and your emotional health is one of the best examples I can set for them. And it’s pretty fun watching them try the different workout moves!! Lol so freaking cute!! 🤗
I’ve never really been a fitness person. I mean, I was always active. Every now and then I’d go through a phase where I’d start running again, or I’d get a gym membership and go once in a while. But I never stuck with it. I didn’t take care of my body. I didn’t watch the foods I ate. And then eventually I would lose interest or motivation and go back to my old ways. I am definitely NOT a nutrition expert. Dude, I just learned last year what chia seeds are!! 🤦🏼♀️ Lol I’m easily one of the pickiest eaters you’ll ever meet (just ask my hubby lol) “Crystal! Just try this duck! I promise it’s good!” 😝🙅🏼♀️😂😂😂 I also don’t have all the time in the world. I have a full time job. I have 2 kiddos. I’m a wife. I’m a daughter. I’m a sister. I’m an aunt. I’m a dog mom 🐶 💗 I’m pulled in every single direction and it can be darn near impossible to make time for myself! But I DO IT. I find the time...actually...I MAKE the time. 20 to 30 minute workouts in my own home, on my own time, make it possible! A support system of amazing ladies who I can lean in on anytime make it possible. A simple meal plan where I get to eat the foods I want to eat make it possible. An amazing shake that is NOT a protein shake, and does NOT have to be a meal replacement shake (cause dessert!! 😋) makes it possible. And my drive to want to be the best and happiest version of myself makes it possible.

Sometimes you just need a moment to reset 💜 Coming out to one of our favorite places to camp as a family was just what I needed!
I had no idea when I started this journey how much I need to change on the inside. I just wanted to lose some weight and fit into my old clothes again 🤷♀️ and I wanted to do it as fast as possible!!! My amazing coach/bestie taught me to SLOW DOWN. Enjoy the journey. Enjoy LIFE!! The more you work on yourself on the inside the more you’ll see results on outside. They HAVE to go together!! Otherwise you won’t be any happier than when you started. That’s what our goal is at the end of the day right?? Happiness?? To just feel happy and content in the moment more often?? I’m still working on it believe me! But I am light years ahead of where I started a year ago. I don’t let little things ruin my day anymore. Not worth it. I am the ONLY person in charge of my happiness. I can’t control what happens to me in this life...but I CAN choose how I respond to it 😉

Jesus has transformed this once anxious mama into a much more trusting, relaxed soul! I am one of those people who foresees the worst in every situation, fantasizing every scenario that could possibly go wrong! This caused me to have a lot and I mean A LOT of Anxiety! Transformation Tuesday!!! I never get tired of seeing people’s transformation pictures 🤗 Even the smallest physical transformations can show how big someone’s internal transformation actually was! THIS is the only gym I need 😊 In the comfort of my own home, and only takes 20 to 30 minutes out of my day!! 😁 It also takes all of my excuses and blows them out of the water. I used to always make the same resolutions each year, with no real plan on how I was going to achieve them. They’d be things like losing weight, getting more organized, being more adventurous, staying positive, or not sweating the small stuff. A little extra self care today while I kick this cold! Glad I was able to get hubby and the boys feeling better, and get through the holidays before it was my turn to be sick lol The old me would have used this as an excuse to eat junk food or anything that sounds good, even if it’s not what my body really needs. Somethings are just extreme. Like having 7 boys before my baby girl came along. Ya, that's extreme.
How my life changed in 90 days (probably less if I am being honest) is coming in close second.
And as in changed I mean drastically. I'm not talking just a little.
That stinkin mom fog is gone. Anxiety, out the window with the mom fog. How I spent over $300 less on groceries this month, what! (We are feeding 11 people here). Created goals and a routine, never had that before. Found confidence in parenting and enjoying the dreaded teens years. Victory dance!! If you can be real and dig deep like I had to do and say "I am not the best version of me" then sista, its going to take a deep breath and a choice. Because those words have power but actions shape our lives.

This is the very first time I’ve gone into a new year with a clear head, feeling like I actually accomplished what I set out to do! I set goals for myself at the beginning of the year, found my tribe/support system to back me up, and went for it! It’s okay to fall off the wagon once in a while. We’re all human! In my wellness group no one expects you to eat nothing but salads for every meal 😝 No one expects you to give up all your favorite foods forever and ever and feel guilty every time you indulge. No one expects you to workout 2 hours a day. No one expects you to coach either or share your journey publicly. That’s just for the few of us that decide we want to pay it forward and help others start their journey 💗
When I first started I told my coach there was NO WAY I was ever going to coach or share my journey. I didn’t think I had time and I still cared way too much about what people think. Once I saw how amazing this group is I couldn’t help but share!!! It started to feel weird keeping it all to myself because I knew other people could benefit from it 😊💕 Now I get to help others start their journey while I continue on mine too, and I get to do it alongside some of my best friends 😁 Best friends that I get to hug in person next summer at our annual event!!!! 🤗 Doesn’t get much better than that. Whoever thinks that transforming themselves inside and out can’t possibly be fun or life changing hasn’t tried my wellness group yet 😉 *

6 days until New Year’s and I still have some end of the year goals I’m going to hit! 😉 Enjoyed Christmas Day with the family and did NOT follow a meal plan 😉 Ate ALL the food and enjoyed myself with NO guilt!! (you aren’t going to ruin your progress with one day of indulging!) Food hangover this morning though 🤢 Went 36 hours with no sleep and currently have an emotional hangover as well 😳 So while my littlest slept today I got back to my bathroom gym and took 25 minutes to workout, clear my head, and get back into a groove. (So nice being able to do that without having to leave the house, and can still see him and keep an eye him from where I’m exercising 💗)
Can’t wait to start the New Year with all my babes!! Big plans for our January challenge group. A year ago I couldn’t do a plank for longer than 15 seconds. Long road trips made me cringe because I knew my back couldn’t handle it. I spent more of my time focusing on the negative rather than the positives in life. I always picked clothes that would hide all of my “flaws”, instead of just loving myself for who I am. I spent so much time worrying about what other people think of me that I wasn’t focusing on doing what makes ME happy and being who I want to be. (Still working on that part...cause old habits die hard!)
A year ago I never thought I’d be able to help this many people start their own fitness/wellness journey. To be able to feel better on the inside AND the outside! I never thought I’d grow this close to these ladies that have supported me non stop from day 1. 💕

Throwback Thursday! To a time where I would cover myself with a pillow every time I sat down and slouch over, because I was self conscious of my stomach. Honestly, even though I’ve lost 20 pounds I still have rolls when I sit down 🤷♀️ who doesn’t?? Lol The difference now is that I just don’t care what people think. I’m comfortable in my own skin! I’m even standing up straighter, to the point where my husband asked me the other day if I grew taller hahaha and Yah I’ll feel even better once I’m at my goal weight, because my clothes will feel better and I’ll have even more strength and energy. But I won’t love myself more than I do now just because of what I look like in the mirror 😉 Like I’ve said before, you have to work on the inside just as much as the outside, if not more!

Journaling Advent Day 9 ✍🏼 What’s your mantra to enjoy a perfectly imperfect Christmas? ✍🏼 Christmas isn’t always perfect is it. We have the ideals like we see in the movies and then we have the reality. They are not always an exact match are they?! 🤣 The trick to it all is to enjoy a perfectly imperfect Christmas as much as you can! No matter what you have going on. Finding the good bits really does boost the Xmas spirits and makes most days the best they can be.
So today have a think about what your mantras are to make this a great Christmas and write down whatever comes to mind?
Mine is ‘It is what it is. I am grateful for this moment and I choose to make the most of it’. No matter what I have going on. Whether the turkey is burnt. Or the trifle has collapsed. Or I’ve forgotten things I really should’ve remembered. Or maybe it’s to do with people. Whenever things are just not as perfect as I’d like them to be.
