Affirmations! Affirmations! Affirmations!
✨ Did you know that the more you tell yourself something, the more you start to believe it?
✨ The way you choose to think, right now, is just that - a choice.
✨ You may not realize it because you’ve thought this way for so long, but it really is a choice.
✨ Now . . . today . . . this moment . . . you can choose to change your thinking.
✨ Your life won’t turn around overnight, but if you’re consistent and make the choice on a daily basis to think thoughts that make you feel good, you’ll definitely make positive changes in every area of your life.
✨ Do affirmations work for you?
Being sad doesn’t mean life stops.
Enjoy every moment in your life, smile breath and relax. Don’t let your anxiety ruin your day.

Sometimes you gotta celebrate the small wins.
You see, I’m quite scared of the dentist. I was 11 when I had the first cavity, and my dentist didn’t want to use any numbing stuff. The drill was hitting a nerve though, and it was torture! Of course, since I was a child, the adults in the room just thought I was being dramatic.
It stuck with me though, and even though I keep a poker face while I’m sitting in the dentist chair, inside, I’m terrified.
Not only that, but to get to my appointment today, I had to drive in the city, during rush hour traffic, in the dark, in the rain. My night vision is terrible, especially at night, in the rain. I was very nervous about a particular interchange.
I’ve been doing a lot of work on calming my anxiety, and today was putting it all to the test. I can’t believe what happened.
I was calm the entire time! I was calm during that interchange, and I didn’t have any oopsies near misses, and I felt calm the entire time at the dentist, and I was calm on my way home.
It may seem small, but I’m so freakin proud of myself!
Did you have any small wins today?

STOP 🛑 breaking promises to yourself! .
Blowing off that workout you said you’d do, eating something you said you wouldn’t, continually hitting that snooze button may not seem like a big deal but it is.
You keep your commitments to everyone else. If you tell a friend you’ll have lunch, you make it happen. If you volunteer for your kids school you make it happen, if you promise a specific gift you make it happen.
So what are you saying when you can keep your commitments to everyone BUT yourself?
What your saying subconsciously to yourself is that your not important enough! Ouch 😱🙈
If you keep that up after awhile you just start believing it, and I don’t want that for you! 😘🙌🏻
Be intentional with your commitments, maybe scale back on some, and then start making smaller promises to yourself BUT once you do you better show up for them! .
Don’t ever break a promise to yourself EVER! Girl your worth keeping your word too! 😘
So if you told yourself today you were gonna workout then I wanna see it! .
Anxious? Depressed? Want to feel joy, fulfillment, and happiness again?
✨ “Create an ideal story of your future and tell it over and over again!”
✨ You can change your story and create a life you’ve always dreamed of STARTING TODAY!
✨ Say it with me: My Anxiety and Depression will NOT HOLD ME BACK!
✨ What can you do today to change your story?
✨ Tag someone who needs some encouragement today!
Research has shown that mindfulness helps us reduce anxiety and depression.
✨ When you practice mindfulness, you open up a space in your mind to sit peacefully with and examine your thoughts, feelings, or body sensations.
✨ Worrying about the future (i.e. What if this happens...) and ruminating about the past (i.e. I should have...) are generally maladaptive thinking processes.
✨ By focusing our attention on the present moment, mindfulness counteracts rumination and worrying.
✨ Mindfulness techniques for anxiety and stress reduction allow you to remain grounded in the present moment even when you face difficult stressors, so that your anxiety can feel more manageable and less overwhelming.
✨ Mindfulness encourages us to open up and accept our emotions.
✨ Do you practice mindfulness?
✨ How can you try to be more mindful today?
Stop trying to control people and things around you, sometimes it is better to just keep a look and see how things unfold without judging or acting.
Either way always give yourself some space to think, watch things unfold from a distance, this distance can help you see thing in a clearer way. .
What do you think? Comment and tag your friends 💚

ANXIETY? Try Belly Breathing...
✨ Belly breathing is actually an ancient technique that has been practiced for thousands of years by cultures around the world.
✨ One of the amazing benefits of belly breathing is its ability to help you relax – almost instantly.
✨ This is because of how it works with both our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
✨ The sympathetic nervous system is essentially the “fight or flight” side of our autonomic nervous system. It responds to anything we see as threatening, giving us the energy we need to either escape or do battle.
✨ The parasympathetic system is the opposite of the sympathetic. It’s also referred to as the “rest and digest” system, and is responsible for slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, stimulating the digestive process, and producing a feeling of calm relaxation.
✨ Belly breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is huge news for those of us needing a relief from the constant stress of day-to-day life.
✨ Have you tried belly breathing?
Focus on yourself instead of focusing on people and their opinions 💚 .

Anger : I’ve know plenty of people with anger issues over my time , who simply have no idea how to control it , get help with it , or just think it’s Neanderthal “manly” to have a temper
and voice it ....having basically Darth Vader as a father put me in touch with it at a very young age .
I always looked into a mirror and wondered what day I would start turning green ..from Bruce Banner into the Incredible Hulk ..as a young boy I expected it to happen ...there were times during an adolescence that I felt it was inside me , from how I was treated would finally rear its head .
It never came ...I didn’t find the opposite , what I did find was anxiety ...a lot of people with anger issues I find it get manifested by anxiety ..that inner low eb feeling .
Yet strangely I have always found something along the lines with a similar demographic to anger that has calmed my anxiety ..or any impulsive anger thoughts that may be laying beneath the surface .
Not so much the heavy bag (these days anyway, busted shoulders negate hitting with that force ), but the speed ball.
The repetition of something coming back at you , to look it in the eye so your reactions welcome the challenge , to keep your body “responsive “...and to channel and expel anything bothering you into a strike ...but not to harm ...to relax .
Possibly the greatest oxy-moron there is for me .

I say let me take my time, and I'll be able to conquer this journey. What started out as going for a car ride with the pups turned into going to the pet store. Just me and the monsters. This is why I got Nala - to be able to do things like this.
Last weekend I was able to ordered a drink without giving it a second thought, I sat in the lobby by myself in the Dell's and I bowled....in a fairly busy place! All that and no anxiety issues. For someone without anxiety, these things are no big deal. But when you have anxiety, each individual thing is a big deal. A huge deal! The things I should have been doing since high school, I'm doing now. But at least I'm doing it ♡ #anxietyissues #petstore #longerpostthenanticipated #onestepatatime #iwillettowhereimgoing
Inner emotional turmoil today, feeling slightly on the edge of panic and have done for a couple of days. ..... The house is completely upside down, as in literally living in one room with the living room furniture puzzled pieced into both bedrooms. 🙄. Its the lack of control that I am struggling to cope with, I really want to draw or colour something to relax and enjoy but no space to do it.
So because I'm feeling like this i have been on the edge of a panic attack, so it's vital that I try my best to calm down. Anyone else struggle to do this when you hit a low?

Because your mind doesn’t usually know what it’s talking about you don’t have to take it so seriously.
My mom left me for a whole hour so drug all the sprinkler supplies out and scattered them all over the lawn. I did the same w a bag of clothes. The ginger beer was just in case I got thirsty. #baddog #yellowlab #anxietyissues
Shout out to all the badass people out there who battle anxiety/ panic attacks. Oh, and to my fiancé for always having my back and skipping his favorite thing ( basketball) to be there for me.
It’s pretty rare for me to get panic attacks these days. I’ve learned a lot about myself and take the proper steps to avoid them! However, Monday night a random panic attack struck! .
I wasn’t going to share this because, well, it’s kinda personal and people that don’t suffer from them don’t really get it. I’m all about spreading awareness though, and letting others know they are not alone. .
It’s crazy how one moment you’re seemingly fine and the next your heart is racing, your sweating, and all things bad invade your mind...
Anyways, I didn’t want to be alone so my fiancé stayed home from basketball. It seems small, but I think I ruined his night. Lol. Shoutout to all the NICE guys out there. You finish first in my book. 👌🏻

Irritability is a feeling of agitation, being frustrated or upset easily. You may experience it in response to stressful situations, or it may be a symptom of a mental or physical health condition. Some common causes of irritability are:
Sleep deprivation: if you are not getting adequate sleep, you are likely to feel irritable the next day. It is worth introducing a consistent sleeping schedule, allowing for at least 6 hours of sleep per night. If you have a medical condition like sleep apnea, consult with your GP about treatment options.
Attention Disorders: ADD, ADHD and other attention disorder can cause a person to be irritable and frustrated. With these conditions, it can be difficult to focus and complete tasks. This can create problems at work, at school, and at home.
Anxiety And Depression: mental health issues effect thoughts, behaviour and mood.
Unprocessed Emotions: Your irritability may evolve from unprocessed emotions – feelings that you’ve bottled up or havent had time to deal with.
Regardless of the cause of your spikey mood, it is important to self contain rather than be aggressive, rude or edgy with others. If you feel irritable on a regular basis, and you don’t know why, make an appointment with your doctor. They can help you identify possible causes. They can also discuss treatment options and strategies to manage your mood.
