Success doesn't come easy. Here I am on a Friday night at 10 PM studying for an exam I write on June 7th. If you wish to attain a higher level you have to work hard towards it. We have a tendency to believe that successful people are just luck. The truth, is those people work hard. Sacrifice their free time to attain success. Here in Southern California it has been cold....well for us it has been. Last night our surrounding areas even got a little bit of snow. 😳🥶⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We have been getting a lot of rain the last two months. 🌧⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Now it looks like things might possibly be warming and drying up some....hopefully I haven’t spoke too soon...⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Which means flowers and plants are probably going to be blooming big time!! 🌸 It is going to be such a beautiful sight, but this also means a lot of people are going to be suffering from hay fever!! 👃 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ One of my biggest tips for hay fever/allergies is nettle! Nettle is an amazing herb...yes I know this picture might look like weed...good old Maryjane, but it’s not. It’s nettle. This is one of my all time favorite herbs and I use it almost daily!! 🌿 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Nettle is packed with all sorts of vitamins and minerals, is a great detoxifier and it is a natural antihistamine. I have noticed my hay fever has decreased drastically since using this herb. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I normally drink nettle tea, but it is also great in a tincture!!! ☕️ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I love nettle!! 🌿🌿🌿

I’ve been a Christian all my of life, but my hallelujah has always been dependent on my emotional and physical state. God has not wasted a minute of 2019...it’s like He decided this was the year He was really going to dive deep into my spirit and re-awaken and deepen parts of me that I’ve been neglecting. . . . He has taught me that nothing can take away my hallelujah. He has taught me that He is such a mystery. He has led me to explore His word and to ask Him the hard questions. He has taught me that putting time and effort into my relationship with Him is vital for the health of my heart and soul. He has taught me that even if I still feel afraid, I no longer have to be a slave to my fear. He has taught me that through Him I have the power to tell fear and shame to go back to Hell. He has taught me that He loves me and is fond of me, and that He sees me and knows me even when I feel that no one else does. He has taught me that because of His deep love for me, I can be confident in who I am. . . . Needless to say Gods been busy with me this year, but I am loving every single minute of it. . . . I wish I had known this version of me, four years ago. I wish I knew everything I know now so I could have helped myself through those anxiety filled sleepless nights. • But I am grateful. This crazy journey I’ve been on has opened my eyes. I’ve learned how to be a girl filled with an abundance of trust and confidence in my relationship. I’ve learned how to say no to nights out so I can maintain my mental health. I’ve learned how to say yes and step outside my comfort zone to grow my confidence. I’ve learned how to set some serious personal boundaries. Charlie and I wrote our #LoveContract 15 days into dating and it helped us tremendously in our getting to know each other process. . 📝 We used the contract as a vehicle to communicate in an open and honest way when we both aren’t emotionally triggered. In my past experiences I would find out what truly annoyed my partner by repeating a pattern and it coming to a head in an argument. . 📝 The #LoveContract let us know how we expressed and received love. I was pretty surprised by some of his responses and relieved to have known them in the beginning stages of our relationship. . 📝 The use of our contract addressed all these issues so that we both are mindful and considerate to each other’s hot buttons. If you begin to wonder about the cosmos, without making quick assumptions, it will happen, that you end up with more questions than answers. . 👁The answers are a few while the questions are seemingly infinite. Every answer to a question, contains multiple new questions. In perspective, what we know, is of no significance, compared to what we do not know. . ⚡Our thoughts and what we think we know about life, is a tiny spec in the vastness of the cosmos. I have a confession to make… for most of my life I was scared of the dark, my imagination would take over so a night light was always a necessity. ⁣💡 ⁣ When I was a teenager and in my early twenties my anxiety and hypervigilance exploded with some of the symptoms of PTSD after a traumatic event, now I was still sleeping with a light on and often a kitchen implement for protection, double locking doors, placing objects behind doors so I could hear any disturbances. ⁣ ⁣ Now of course I had to tackle the underlying fear here but now I know that sleep in a darkened room​ is essential! This supports the body’s natural hormonal patterns to send you off to sleep and to keep you that way, without it our body is not entering its state of “rest and digest” properly and our feelings of stress and anxiety continue spiralling. ⁣ ⁣ So tonight, make sure that room is lovely and dark, wear an eye mask if you need to, but give yourself the rested nourishing sleep your body and mind deserve. ⁣😴💛🌚

The first thing in healing, aiding, helping is to say. . I BELIEVE YOU. Say it to yourself, then tell a doctor, if you feel it, if you think it, there is something! Anxiety will have you thinking its death, it's not that it's anxiety but your feelings count. TODAY I have posted tips for Agoraphobia in stories. That's it's label, but it's: A fear of going out, being in public, of what will happen, of how you will cope, of just petrifiying thoughts & feelings. . I KNOW All about it, but no-one around me knew, no-one I knew had had this, understood, maybe didn't believe, that didn't matter I knew. It was my reality. The symptoms were crazy, I was afraid of the air, afraid of everything, I was also hiding from telling anyone; this blocked myself from any help. . 🌱I eventually had had enough of being scared 24/7, i decided to see a doctor. He knew what it was He acknowledged the symptoms He sent me for help I saw a cb therapist I learnt a holistic approach I brought all anxiety down I decided to help those like me. I discovered I am a natural helper I learned cbtools I became a coach . 🌱If you are in any mental distress, go see a doctor first***, get help, get advise, it will be the first step of exiting the anxiety circle. Get that understanding that you need from there. Talk, let it out. You're allowed, join this community, we talk, keep it positive, offer help, stand by each other. . REDUCE THE FEAR 🌱 Scared of the symptoms? Learn what they are! Scared you have something else? See the doctor he will tell you the truth. Rocking some ice on my pregnancy carpal tunnel today. Had little sleep as I was in so much pain 😢 So surrendered the need to work, watched stand up comedy, bought a cute as new outfit (in stories), ate donuts and def had a good cry😭 . . . BUT I still had 2 new client enquiries. One signed on for 3 months (just in time for maternity leave). 😍 Hustle is so old news. Being gentle is in. So now I'm rocking my splint, my hand has tired already and there's a toddler who wants to watch Despicable Me 🙊 Be kind. Surrender. Go gently. How are you doing that tonight?

If it weren’t for the rain, we wouldn’t have the flowers. How do you look at the “rainy days”? Do you look at a bad day and think about how disappointed you are, or how it’s the “worst day ever,” or think about all of the things you can’t do now? We all have these days, and admittedly, it can be hard to find any positives when you’re having a gloomy day. It’s okay to feel sad or down or disappointed but if we dwell on those negative feelings too long, it tends to make us feel worse than better. Train your brain to look for something positive in the day or situation and do something to distract yourself. It’s okay to not be happy about the situation...just don’t dwell on it. ☔️😌
Panic cycle Everyone who has experienced a panic attack in their life knows that it is one of the most frightening and gruesome experiences ever. Even more frightening is when we become scared of panic attacks, thereby entering a vicious cycle. One thing to remember is that panic attacks are a normal body reaction to stress. Panic attacks will not kill you or do any significant harm to you, and they always pass. The next time you experience a panic attack, accept the fact that panic is there and just continue working on your things. Ignore it. It will pass shortly afterwards. Your own thoughts are its fuel. If you think about work or daily tasks or something that doesn't scare you, you are extinguishing it. It's like taking a fire its oxygen. Something that I have learned in the last 5 years of my anxiety treatment is about resilience. In each therapy session when I blame the anxiety my psychiatrist always use the phrase "DESPITE OF ..." It means that no matter what happens to you in life, you have to move on. Fear cant paralyz and limit your behavior. You have to learn to live with those ugly sensations that anxiety has. Not trying to avoid them but living with them. I learned that in life there is no button to stop time and go back 20 years to correct something. This does not stop! You can not live in the past. But nobody is born knowing this. You learn by living! An example of "DESPITE OF.." would be "Yes, is it true that i am depressed and I have thoes ugly feelings of anxiety but DESPITE OF this I'll get out of bed and go to college". Or "DESPITE that my girlfriend or boyfriend does not want to be with me anymore,  I am going to go out for a while to have fun with friends!". I always have this phrase in my mind. Now that I think about it, I would tattoo it haha😅. That is why today I would like you to put it into practice. I’ve been turning in early the last few weeks. With so much going on in my life, my body has needed more rest time and calm. I often make a cup of golden milk before I go to bed, as it nourishes my body with warm spices, calms my nervous system and allows the turmeric to works hard overnight. There is a recipe on my blog for golden milk (search “golden milk”). One thing many people don’t know about turmeric is that you have to activate it before ingesting it. Mixing turmeric with water and simmering for 8 minutes is the most effective way. This increases the solubility of curcumin (the active anti inflammatory ingredient) by 12 fold and increase the solubility of the turmeric itself by 3 fold. Adding black pepper aids your gut in the absorption. To simplify: you have to do both in order to get all the goodness the turmeric has to offer. I always needed reassurance from others. Consistently seeking out external validation. The value I put on my self was totally 100% dependent on what others thought of me. • Barb loved this. When I spiralled down the validation trap, Barb would encourage me to keep seeking for that reassurance. The further down the hole I went the more non existent confidence was. • Blugh. • Here’s one thing I know for sure...you won’t find your confidence & independence while looking externally for reassurance & validation. In fact you’ll just end up finding more anxiety, stress and low self esteem. Yuck! • You gotta get that validation from the inside. How? Well next time you ask for someone’s opinion on a decision you’ve made, say to yourself “No wait! What do I think about this decision? Does it align with what I value?”. • Those answers are all that you need. I’m serious. I journal with these questions ALL the time to boost my confidence around decisions I’m making. It works a charm!! • You’re the ONLY one who can reassure and validate yourself. Period. • PS: Wanna learn more about your own values and how to use them to make decisions?
