SPOILERS AHEAD ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• After the events of Captain America civil war Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) finds himself under house arrest while Hope Van Dyne and Hank Pym ( Micheal Douglas and Evangeline Lilly ) are trying to save Janet Van Dyne ( Michelle pfieffer ) from the quantum realm. While they’re collecting parts for they’re invention they meet the villain of the movie. This villain is ghost ( Hannah John-Kamen ) who has the ability to phase through walls and people. The other villain of the movie is this guy called Sonny Burch ( Walton Goggins ) he’s supposed to be this tech dealer who wants to steal Hank Pyms lab so he can sell it.
Marvel seem to have this problem with their villains, mainly in that they are kind of generic, but I thought ghost’s origin story wasn’t as bad as usual but it still wasn’t great. As for Sonny Burch personally I liked his character. Paul Rudd was great and so was Evangeline Lilly, others were great but those two just stand out for me.
I really liked how they play with size like driving hot wheels cars and turning a building into a suitcase.
The end credit scene was insane. So ant man goes into the quantum realm and when he’s ready to leave Hope, Janet and Hank all turn to dust because of the Thanos snap back in infinity war. So that means ant man is trapped in the quantum realm. #antmanandthewasp#antmanandthewasptrailer#movie#paulrudd#michealdouglas#marvel#captainamerica#captainmarvel#spiderman#ironman#blackpanther
