The statues look out to sea. How I would interpret why the statues look out to sea would be that they are looking into future, new opportunities or hope.

Some pics from last weekend's LLED event. Build connections, see advancements in prosthetic care, and try adaptive activities for all ages / abilities. Best of all - the event is free! Check out our October events in New Jersey and New Orleans for details at amputee-coalition.org.

Nicoli getting his sea legs. About an inch taller now going on his forth birthday. #coolestkidever
My little man Nicoli is growing up fast! Almost 4 as of next week... he’s outgrown his prosthetics so making him some new ones. Here he is kicking around (and lifting by himself 💪) a 10# medicine ball! He’s about an inch taller so getting his sea legs!
The spin bike is a great cardio tool for when you can't wear your prosthetic leg as it will help at the top end of the pedal going round where stationary bikes won't.

I posted this picture August 2016, six months after my amputation. My life was turned upside down when I lost my leg. I don’t think much about when I was recovering. It’s tough on me. I always kept a smile. But to think of the weeks I suffered from phantom & nerve pain still terrifies me to this day. It felt unbearable & it really broke me down at the time. The process to walking again felt like an eternity. From a wheelchair, to a walker, to a cane & now.....I’m running!!! Here I am almost 3 years later. I wouldn’t be where I am without Gods grace. I’m humbled to have been given a second opportunity. With scars and all. I stand tall & proud of what I’ve overcome. Life is really what you make it. #amputeestrong
Today’s main lift: pin presses. Worked up to this “not a double” double at 165. Haven’t previously used pin presses or partial ROM assistance exercises for shoulder press ever before so I’m excited to toss them in as a once a week auxiliary lift for the next few weeks. #FinishStrongFriday
