Take Me Out To The Ball Game (1949). This isn't a great movie but I still feel like it's a must see. A Gene Kelly/Frank Sinatra is great on screen. This movie also makes you realize how prejudiced people were against women back then. Thank god things have changed... Or have they?
Out to Sea (1997). The iconic Lemmon and Matthau duo. However this film isn't very good. I found it boring and shallow.
One of my favorite scenes in Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. -- Mildred (Frances McDormand), a mother consumed with rage over the unsolved rape and murder of her teenage daughter. What begins as a series of public ads turns into an all-out war with the patriarchy in Ebbing. // Scene: (McDonagh elaborates on the creation of the scene and Mildred’s monologue) “On the page, it looked like a lot, but it was there for a reason. In fact, the tone of it, she kind of glides into it and brings up this kind of weird Crips and Bloods analogy, but we don’t know what kind of analogy it is at the start. Even as a writer and especially as an audience member, you’re thinking that we shouldn’t know where she’s going with this for at least the first half a page. Then things should slowly fall into place, because you know it’s not going to end well for the priest. That was part of the joy of writing it. How long can you delay the punch in the guts to the priest?”

Watching: 3000 miles to Graceland (2001). Lots of clichés, the black guy dies first, some corny moments but still entertaining if you're looking for something simple with lots of guns to watch.
Film of the day: The Big Store (1941). This is definitely not the Marx brothers best movie but it has its good moments. Nothing beats Duck Soup for me!
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). I thought the first film was very entertaining and the two others not that great. So it's only now that I am finally watching the 4th film without high expectations and indeed it was just so so. Not sure if I'll ever watch the 5th one. Should I? Which Pirates of the Caribbean is your favorite?
& on the 9th day of August... THE FINAL ROOMIE TURNED 21!!! Welcome to the club Sarah girl, love ya to the moon & back. Now go buy us some wine while I pick out the movie :’) #amovieaday #maybetwo #oftenthree
Watching: Into the woods (2014). This movie feels a little useless. But it's got an impressive cast. And the songs all the sound the same so I guess i'd say it's just ok.

Watching: Stoker (2013). Stylish, creepy and beautiful cinematography. The plot is a little weak but it still feels like you're on the edge of your seat during a big part of the film.
Watching: Father Goose (1964). Cary Grant's before last film. A cute movie with some slow parts.
Watching: Leap Year (2010). I was in the mood for something light but often when I watch these rom coms I wonder: Why do I bother? Which movies do you like to watch after a long day?

Ernest goes to Camp (1987)... Well this wasn't very good! Most definitely not Ernest's best film.
Metropolitan (1990). A slow film about a group of NYC bourgeois and an outsider who is supposedly very critical of their lifestyle. But how lame and phoney are all the characters except maybe Audrey with her basic human emotion called love (or infatuation). I can't help but imagine a modern take of this film but with hipsters!
Film of the day: Rio Bravo (1959). Ok so I think I like Westerns now! This is truly a good one and may be one of the bests.
Currently watching: The Producers (1967). This is my fifth Mel Brooks film and so far it's my favorite. I'm not a big fan of the Brooks humor but this movie I get. Perhaps it's a good Mel Brooks introduction. Fun, funny at times and entertaining!
Now watching; Critical Condition (1987). Nostalgia makes movies better.
Watching: Tully (2018). So excited about this film! Anything Jason Reitman does is fine by me (except maybe men, women and children that was so so). What's your favorite Jason Reitman film?
Day 23 - @the_purge_movie
Running time: 1hr25
Starring: @ethanhawke @iamlenaheadey @_rhyswakefield_
After watching the new Purge movie, I thought I'd go back to the origins of the first movie which grabbed my attention.
I also talk about how I love the second one the most and it's totally gone from my mind how much I love Wakefield's character in this - he's such a utter bastard.
Again, a great series and very underrated imo.
Day 22 - Spawn
Running time: 1hr29
Starring: @officialmichaeljai @johnleguizamo @martinsheen
Another movie from 1997 and one of my favourites as a kid.
I was obsessed with Spawn even though not of my friends liked it or had seen it, and it was probably too old for me as an 11/12 year old - but it was so fucking bad ass!
Picked it up on blu-ray the other day and it's still TOTALLY fuckin' bad ass.
Day 21 - Starship Troopers
Running time: 2hr9
Entering my third week with some classic 90s and Starship Troopers. A supremely underrated movie that deserves more of a following!
The only good bug is a dead bug!
Day 20 - @thepurgemovie
Running time: 1hr52
Starring: Y'Ian Noel, @scottyeye
I'm a huge fan of The Purge series so decided to head to Cineworld - bleurgh, I know, sorry - to catch the latest installment.
Okay, so it's not as good as the second one (which is far the most superior of the series) but it still held up as a pretty decent movie.
The action scenes at the end certainly weren't for my taste and the character of Skeleton was so underused as he was super intense.
All in all, I was a little disappointed but I am a big ass fan of this franchise so I suppose I set it up for a fall. Still well worth a watch!
Day 19 - Friday the 13th
Running time: 1hr35
Starring: Betsy Palmer, @adrienneking_official
Can't beat a Friday the 13th screening on Friday the 13th can you? Well even when a power cut derails you 20 minutes before the end, you still have to power on and watch the end at home!
Not quite as good as Friday VI but still the second best in the series and an absolute belter of a movie!
Day 18 - Evil Dead 2
Running time: 1hr24
Starring: Bruce Campbell, Sarah Berry
Evil Dead 2 is classed as the better of the three, but I still believe the first installment to be the best.
Many will disagree but I think Evil Dead 2 is a tad overrated.
Film of the day: The Lone Ranger (2013). I heard alot of bad things about this movie so i put off watching it. I'm glad I finally did. Sure this film isn't perfect but it has to be taken for what it is: entertainment....and that's what it is! Just pure entertainment. I thought it was fun to watch and would definitely watch it again on a day i'm in the mood for a popcorn flick.
