Angela Knight joined General Electric in 2007 and has worked in their New Jersey and Wisconsin locations. In 2013, Angela joined GE Oil & Gas now Baker Hughes a GE Company in Houston, Texas as the Diversity & Inclusion and Culture Leader. In her role, she is responsible for developing the global inclusion strategy and her main areas of focus are enhancing the company’s ability to attract, develop, promote and retain great diverse talent.
Prior to GE, Angela worked for Chevron Oil Company in San Francisco, California for over 12 years and Merck Pharmaceutical in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey for 8 years.
Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southern University A&M College in Computer Science. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Links Incorporated and a founding member of the San Francisco Bay Area National Coalition of 100 Black Women. In 2018 Angela was recognized for her leadership from both the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association where she received the 2018 Innovator award and from the Greater Houston Women’s’ Chamber where she received a 2018 Breakthrough Women’s award. Angela enjoys collecting art and is an avid tennis player.
