College tips day 18: NOTETAKING METHODS AKA the most commonly asked topic on my studyblr
📝 there are there types of notes: lecture hall scratch, at home studying, and before the test study sheet
📝 lecture hall notes: write legibly at least, and have a certain flow to your notes so when you come back later you won’t be like ??? 📝 at home studying: these can be pretty if you’re into that! otherwise, you’ll prob be taking notes from a textbook or re-writing lecture notes. This is when you filter what’s important and what’s not. For me, I like to have BOTH my lecture notes AND the textbook open so that if I see something that appears in both sources, I’ll know it’s really important. My lecture notes are a guide to what topics to cover, and the textbook is a resource to expand on those topics. 📝 right before the test study sheet: I like to have one study sheet where I dump anything and everything on it before the test. I’ll probably focus on things I feel the least comfortable with. I also try to stick to one page so my brain remembers that page (spatial memory!) so when I take the test i can “look” for information based on where I wrote it on the page when I was making that study sheet. Maybe it’ll work for you too!!

me dijo que se veía bien y que posara, tenía una luz horrible y todo el trabajo del color se debe a la edición. En fin, esta foto me encanta, y el tiempo que le invertí para que quedara bien valió la pena.💗

Given the fact that everyone has different genetics, some workouts will work for you and some won’t.
If you have a small & lean build I suggest you mainly train calisthenics (body weight workouts). If you have a large bulky build, you should stick to heavy compound lifts(Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press,& Shoulder Press). Now this doesn’t mean that you have to completely ignore other types of workouts, but it will definitely be easier to build muscle with a style of training that aligns with your body type.
So a lot of people ask me how I am able to stay motivated and go to the gym everyday. Truth is, I don’t need any motivation because I genuinely enjoy working out. In fact, you can say I’m addicted to it.
Watching myself grow and transform brings me happiness and content. If you don’t enjoy your workouts you will never feel satisfied and you won’t be putting in as much effort as possible. My advice would be to constantly try out new exercises until you find something you enjoy doing. Then going to the gym won’t be something you hate, but rather something you look forward too.
One of the reasons I love body weight workouts is because they let your body move naturally, rather than being locked in to a certain position when doing normal lifts like a bench press or bicep curl.
Overtime when doing normal lifts your body becomes very stiff and your motion is restricted. On the other hand, body weight workouts actually improve your mobility and flexibility while still helping you build lean muscle.
Normal pull ups getting too easy? Here are 2 variations. (Focus on isolating each arm as you go through your reps.)
Never satisfied, just better than I was yesterday 🌹
