That sky was something else on the way home yesterday!
We couldn't have asked for a better fall weekend in Vancouver in October. The weather was unusually warm and sunny, which means it was perfect for exploring and admiring all of Vancouver's natural beauty. .
I appreciate some seasonality, but truthfully I prefer clear sunny ☀️ skies and moderately warm temperatures when traveling. This way we can admire a place's beauty without fog or smog clouding the views, and it's a comfortable temperature for walking and being outside all day. .
Do you prefer certain weather when traveling?
Our last little trek up to Big Four before the road closes for the season. Good News? When it does, then we’ll know it’s sledding season off of Mountain Loop. 🙌🏼
“So into the woods you go again,
You have to every now and then.
Into the woods, no telling when,
Be ready for the journey.
Into the woods, but not too fast
or what you wish, you lose at last.
Into the woods, but mind the past.
Into the woods, but mind the future.
Into the woods, but not to stray,
Or tempt the wolf, or steal from the giant-- “

They’ll remember this, Daddy. And so will you. .
Remember all the time you sat down and played tea time with them instead of rushing to reply to that email? I know you’re itching to reply but you sat down and played tea time, cheered and laughed out loud. They’ll remember this, Daddy. And so will you. .
Remember the time she pleaded to ask you to take her out on the bicycle, Daddy? I know you wanted to catch that footy on TV but you took her out for a spin instead. You spent time with her instead of footy, Daddy. They’ll remember this, Daddy. And so will you. .
I don’t remember much about my own biological father. He may have fathered me but that’s about it (mom was mom & dad in my upbringing). It takes something special to be called a Dad, Dada, Daddy. Here’s an ode to dads everywhere for dropping everything to spend time with their little ones 🙏
It’s starting to feel a lot like summer and I couldn’t be happier about it ☀️😅!
Melhor maneira de iniciar uma nova semana é recarregando a bateria junto à natureza💚

Waiting on big sister’s speech therapy session like...
We were told this week that Izzy may not have much longer left in speech therapy. She is still working on “L” and “th” sounds and has made big progress with those. She’s doing great!
Mateo has benefited from being around all of Izzy’s speech therapy, too. He communicates very well and rarely has communication breakdowns. He has really started to enjoy singing more. It’s so cute to hear him singing Christmas songs!
Not long left to enter our competition! Take a photo in front of our Santa Mailbox and tag holidayinnperth to go in the draw to win a staycation!
With my photographer in crime today scouting out some low tide seascapes.
Picking out the perfect Christmas tree 🎄
We are so happy with our wheels!
A new adventure every day🙂🌴
Long shadows, just “touching” the sea. Evening has come and we are about to take the regular walk to a restaurant along the water.
We’re leaving CA a week from today and we’re not sure when we’ll return. Renting our tiny house went so well this summer that we want to do it again, to see how things go through the winter season. We’ll spend some time in NC with family and we’re hoping to go to Europe for a few months afterwards, but at this point all we have booked are our flights to NC next Sunday.
Honestly, it all feels so crazy sometimes—not knowing exactly where we’ll be next year or when we’ll return. My stomach churns with the uncertainty of it all but my heart skips a beat with excitement and anticipation.
Next year, we hope to build a second tiny house and set it in another beautiful spot— a home that’s even better than this one, and possibly one that’s more mobile, too. Then we’ll have two homes, in two beautiful places, to live in when we want to and to bring in some $$ while we travel. If all goes well, we’ll probably do it again. We dream of building a shangri-la of our own someday, of buying a nice plot of land and moving all the homes there and creating a retreat space for ourselves and to share with others. We’re just getting started, one step at a time...

📢 [NOU POST] 📢
Having kids did not slow down our thirst for adventures and it certainly did not stop us from exploring the world. In fact, it made us even more determined to travel as much as we can, to all corners of the world, not just for us, but for our kids. We hope to get them curios about what’s out there, to encourage them to never sit still and to always have that hunger for an adventure and most importantly, to show them that the world has so much to teach you, more than any classroom can. We hope that they’ll take after our love for travelling the world. #adventureswithchildren #whatawonderfulworld #myanmar #myanmayadventure #mandalay #livetotravel #travelmadfam #aroundtheworldwithkids
