Emmett created the Lost Things Challenge back in April. While hiking the Bluebell Trail at Bull Run Regional Park, we came across a pair of glasses, a little pink shoe, a tiny foam Dumbo, and a snow boot. .
You can join the Lost Things Challenge by going on a hike and discovering lost or hidden treasures. Then, take a photo and use #LostThingsChallenge
in the caption. What did you find on your latest hike?
Dadtoss || My wife and Z constantly pull pranks on me so I turned the page. All in love though 😂
Everything about her drives me crazy in amazing ways •
Oh, the pastels on the Amalfi Coast 😍 Do all the building managers get together and colour coordinate their exterior paints? It’s like a line up of gelato. And when the sun is setting it’s even more dreamy ✨🌸
We caught Moraine Lake at golden hour this evening and it blew us away yet again. ✨ This time there was less snow on the trees but as the last rays of sun hit the lake it turned into a vibrant aqua turquoise. ❄️ So stunningly different to our magical snow wonderland a few days back, where the water looked a much darker blue. (see stories for the contrast!) I'm starting to think Moraine Lake might be perfect in almost all weather. Does it freeze over in winter, I wonder? 🤔❄️
Anyone else sleep with the windows open last night and it was still warm 🙈 love this photo of Oakley in Cornwall embracing the surfer look 😍💙
Hands up if you are spending more time setting up for play, rather than actual play 🙋🏻♀️
Read on Mumma as this post is for you 👇🏻
...whilst planning for play experiences can be as simple or elaborate as you see fit, they do require time to create, particularly if you are targeting a specific goal, interest, outcome or learning area.
The key is to find balance-(let's face it, all good things require some time in preparation) the kind of balance-where you are not spending too much time in play preparation, less in physical play and establish a system/s that works for you and your little ones. ...let's brainstorm (you can use our template at www.celebrateplay.com.au/library) a few ideas by thinking about these questions... 1. What part of the day gives you the most free time?
2. Are there aspects of your home life that can be outsourced?
3. Do you have a go-to play area?
4. Do you have go-to play activities?
5. Do you have an effective toy organisational system in place?
6. Are you using transition time effectively?
Now that we have you thinking, grab a pen and notepad to jot down any further thoughts. The kind that will help you put this plan into action- By determining the time available in a day, we can begin to create play systems that utilise this time more effectively. Eg. If you are time poor of a morning, then focusing on play of an evening may work best for you. Alternatively, if you are time poor in the evening, perhaps planning for play will work better during the day. I know how busy we all can be, but, there is a time that will be just right for you-the trick is finding it 🙌🏻

Get ready for the launch!

We have so much to learn from toddlers. They are so magically present, free of self-criticism or judgment. They follow their will and say what’s on their mind (for better or for worse). They embody the joy of simple being (most of the time).
I’ve seen so many friends posting recently about their struggles—searching for themselves, not knowing what comes next, or perhaps struggling with their inner-critic. You are not alone, I am with you (and so are many others).
I just want to remind you that you are perfect in the here and now. There is nothing you need to find, do, achieve, or believe… just be yourself and be present.
All the love and smiles in this photo ❤️😘
this little love & light has always been so fierce & ready when he’s ready.
he & i butt heads (😂 #buttheads
) all. the. time. maybe it’s because he’s so much like me as a child (I don’t have the same perspectives as everyone else!) or maybe because he feels my energy & emotions, he reflects them/me.
maybe i’m just having a rough day/days. or maybe life just isn’t going to be all sunflowers & avocados (I feel like I’m close to the saying 😉). and most definitely, that is ok.
i love you, Bo. a whole big bunch!
Midday light and a pretty temple tank - just after this we joined other worshippers in the dining hall for the communal temple lunch - it was some of the best food I’ve had since arriving in Goa 6 months ago!
Thank you for the feature @lennylemons.
🤪😍 This was a show-stopping number in Paris. It will always remain one of our faves. #lennylemons
We love The General Store 45!
Kudos to the dads who stop runaway kiddos. 😂😂
A rather lovely afternoon walk after a busy morning of playing.

It’s not really summer anymore but it sure felt hot enough to be today! 🙃#thesouth
Connecting with my clients is a big part of why I love my job.
With kids... I learn all about their day, their boo-boos, their trips to the library, their favorite book, what makes them excited, and what they want to do after all the pictures are done. This little man said “no more pictures”... so we went for a walk, we ran, we picked flowers, he showed me his favorite hot wheels and I just let him be him. This is why I love ‘Lifestyle Photography’. Patience and sitting still is a lot for adults, let alone kids! To see kids happy, enjoying themselves and loving on their families makes creating your story that much more fun. 💝
