“I promise I didn’t steal your coffee cake meowm” - F 🐾 #guiltyferris
Flickers, then flares in her mind.
I watch, and marvel.
Pippi in November, with Quinn nearby. She’s very expressive and it’s fun to see her face and body reflecting her thoughts and feelings as she explores. She’s less bold than Q but has a great sense of humor and good bounce back.
Pippi is willing and able to entertain herself indoors, so Quinn gets the bulk of my time for adventures (since he wreaks havoc when bored, and Charlie safely patrols the yard on his own for boredom relief). But I look forward to more outings with her!
Zack’s trip to the vet last week was his first trip away from home on the leash where we couldn’t go back inside the apartment to his safe space when he got too overwhelmed or frustrated. He loves to explore, but he’s still getting used to dealing with a leash (and me tugging on the leash). •
I could tell he was reaching the end of his patience as we were checking out after his vet visit when a dog came into the clinic and started barking loudly. Zack freaked out and scrambled out of my arms and behind the desk. He was squirming so much I couldn’t get him back in his carrier. I finally grabbed him and the carrier and took him outside where he calmed down enough to let me put him in the carrier and walk to our car. •
I wanted to share this story to bring awareness to the fact that having an adventure cat isn’t always glorious hikes and calm strolls around the block. Training an adventure cat takes time and patience. No two cats are alike and no two training experiences are the same either. This experience has confirmed that training Zack will be a much slower process than training Sophie was...and that’s ok! We are working with Zack on HIS timeline and where/when HE is comfortable.
He’s worse than a puppy, any kitty tips for biting are appreciated 😹
If all the snowflakes were salmon flakes and milkshakes, oh what a world it would be.
Noxie: What is your favourite place to hide in?
If I'm hiding from Lumos I hide on places that he is too clumsy to climb to (like the fridge) or where he can't fit (like under furniture).
Sometimes when we're exploring I like to hide in my backpack. But then I jump out go for a walk and then decide to hide in shelves. 😹
Lumos and Noxie's Mummy: We went to a pet shop as an experiment. Noxie was super curious, but we think at times the sounds and people got a bit overwhelming for her, like in this video. Next time we'll go when it is quieter. ♥️

to boldly go where no cat has gone before... or maybe just to the playground 😸
Out and about on this chilly Caturday.
