KING KONG [ 2005 ], directed by #peterjackson
I will just say it once, and I’m more then sure, that many will agree, this here is, and will be, the best #kingkong
movie of all time! As well as an amazing remake of a 1933 original #classic
. A standard #kong
story here. A film crew, lead by an ambitious film director Carl Denham (#jackblack
), traveling to a mysterious island to shoot their picture, and encountering a furious giant gorilla (#andyserkis
), taking their leading actress Ann Darrow (#naomiwatts
) and forming a special bond with her, protecting her at all costs.
Give me a second here, I heard people complain about this film being too long...?! Wtf?! I didn't hear any of it when it comes to Jackson's other epic works, such as #lotr #trilogy
! I mean c'mon! If a movie is just this good, there just can't be too much of it! Plus there is always an awesome #extendedcut
, for those who can't get enough of it.
Now everything, and I mean EVERYTHING in this movie is top notch. You just look at the cast! Watts is a perfect choice for Darrow. She is just that good. I believed her and her performance. It's no secret, #adrienbrody
is one of my favorite actors, and I was really happy, when I heard he was joining the cast as Jack Driscoll. And I was pleased to see him on top of his game. I never expect less from #thepianist
, if you know what I mean. Black is the man who stole the show here! He is an awesome actor, and is capable of pulling off something as serious as this. All the responsibility, put on him, to play such an important character did not pressure him at all. He nailed it as Denham! #jamiebell
was also good as Jimmy. I still think he is very capable, he just needs a right role. And this one here was perfect for him.
Soundtrack, and OMG, it's fantastic! Very atmospheric, and at times intense. And look at those special effects, and spectacular #cgi
, which highlights that realism this movie brings to the table. The way this version of #skullisland
is presented is unmatched. Even the latest version takes it's hat off, if you compare the two films' islands.
Anyways, this is one of my all-time favorites, 10/10, enough said!!!
