It’s amazing to see how much better my body can perform when I’m eating for performance and health as opposed to being focused on losing weight.
I have been super stressed with work and school and have not been “on my game” I have been mindfully eating and consciously choosing the food and drinks that enter my mouth but I have not been to the gym in a MINUTE! I did a home workout last week and it was 💪🏻 but I need to go today! About a year ago....after trying a few different ways to lose weight, I had lost 20 pounds.....yep, I had lost 20 pounds....and....thinking back.....no, I honestly still didn't feel healthy!!
I was losing weight but I wasn't exercising and I really wasn't eating great. .
Now....almost 8 months after making a lifestyle change.... yes, I lost 10 more pounds.....and yes, I am feeling healthier!!!! .
I am not perfect....at all....but I am making healthier choices and I am enjoying everything about this new lifestyle!!! .
Working out....love it!!!
Eating healthier 80% of the time.....loving it too!!!
What I needed in my life was programs I could follow.....and the support, motivation & accountability from a group of ladies all on similar journeys!!!

“We are taught to be kind and good to ALL, especially as women. We don’t have to be nice and kind to everyone. We are allowed to have boundaries. We are allowed to block and stop 🛑 people from being in our lives and consuming our work. So many spiritual teachings have confused me over the years and kept me stuck in codependent patterns that weren’t authentic because I was looking for healing through someone else, some of those people were never going to meet halfway, but I stayed in relationships and friendships anyway. I was being overly nice to people who were unreasonable and being manipulative because I thought it was the right thing to do. Extending myself over and over to reconcile. It is ok to move along, boundaries in tow. It is ok to say NOPE. It is ok to end friendships. It is ok to be angry. It is ok to tell people like it is. You don’t get a gold star because you are kind to ALL and don’t ruffle feathers. Don’t mix up people pleasing with enlightenment, then secretly resent people behind closed doors. Not everyone in our lives is in it for the long haul and that’s ok. You don’t need to be pretend nice. #gettingovernice
We can be kind and still set boundaries. For years I’ve had the tendency of over apologizing, but I eventually hit a point where I couldn’t do that anymore and continue to build self trust, because it wasn’t authentic and it was enabling people to continue treating me in ways that I now know were less than I deserve. Sometimes we have to love people from afar in order to heal and allow room for the possibility of the relationship to improve. It’s not easy letting go, but sometimes when we’ve had enough it’s needed❤️ What’s more loving and real to ourselves and others? Pretending everything is fine and resenting people from behind or taking space for yourself to heal and love from afar in a more genuine way free of resentment? Resentment is victim anger. We don’t have to be a victim. We can choose to take ourselves out of that and guard our hearts, while still loving! And we can still practice forgiveness w/o reconciliation. #authenticity #releasethestruggle #lettinggo #grief #acceptance

From the first day I started my fitness journey in 2014 to today.
What’s changed? Well other than my body composition (these pics are less than 10lbs apart, proof that the scale can suck it 🖕🏼🖕🏼) my entire mindset on health, fitness and nutrition has done a complete 180! I now understand that this is a lifestyle, and not just a quick “let me workout and eat salads for 5 weeks, lose weight and then forget about it”
There have been ups and downs in how I felt, and in my weight, but I am proud to say that I am the happiest I’ve ever been! I LOVE getting up early every morning and working out, I enjoy what I eat, and I still eat cool ranch Doritos and Reese’s peanut butter cups on the reg!
It’s all about balance! You don’t have to eliminate certain food groups or workout for hours on end in order to see results! Eat good food, enjoy some treats, move your body and live life to the fullest 💕 anyone who tells you otherwise can shove it up their butts 🤓

Time to get real here !! A little over 5 weeks ago I was depressed, feeling bad about how I looked and felt like I was tired all the time. I knew I needed a change in my life. I realized I needed to eat healthier, exercise and needed to be happy. Not just for me but for my kids. I had tried to do this on my own in the past and was not successful. 😕 I finally decided I needed help to achieve all of this. I needed motivation and accountability from a group. Need to be able to talk to people who wanted the same change I did. So I am happy to say in using an exercise plan I love, healthy (but not crazy) eating, and with the motivation of a group of amazing women to help me through this journey I am now in a great place. In just a short 5 weeks I have lost over 13 inches and about 5lbs. The best thing of all is I have gained happiness, lost weight and inches and found a love for motivating others.
