Upgrade your curl ups (frog-leg position). I’ve posted before how these can be done on a bench or with something secure above the head, BUT
Use a kettlebell/weight (im 95Kg and use around a 10-12kg generally). If you rely on the security of the weight too much it will lift off the ground- encouraging you to use the abs more than the lats in order to get the knees higher.
If you’ve tried these curl ups before and you don’t feel the abs 🔥🔥, it’s likely you aren’t using them during the movement as you should- Give this upgrade a go.

13 hours later on a bus, I’ve followed the sun and made it to Hervey Bay! Now to find the best food around here and catch up on a day of eating 😍
I’ve been hiding from the rain in Airlie Beach for the last 4 days, but enough is enough and it’s time to chase the sun down to Hervey Bay! However, all this rain and has meant I’ve been on the hunt for food constantly and smoothies have become another obsession, all made with fresh ingredients they taste bloody amazing! 😍
Smoothie bowls, I love you 😍 Especially when they’re piled with peanut butter!!! I can’t get enough of these in Australia so I’m basically working my way down the east coast trying all of the different flavours. Today’s was made with açai and banana, topped with fresh fruit, homemade granola and crunchy peanut butter 🙌🏻
Many girls are scared to lift at the gym because they’re afraid they will look “bulky”...I used to have that misconception as well. The look that most girls want to achieve is the “toned” look...that’s what I wanted too
However in order to achieve that toned look you want, YOU MUST LIFT!!! Achieving the toned look requires muscle hypertrophy (muscles to grow) in combination with being on a slight caloric deficit...and this REQUIRES progressive overload (lifting consistently while upping your weights pretty often to challenge your muscles)
A toned look is not just doing cardio and abs. It requires you to constantly challenge yourself with weights, machines, and barbells in addition to cardio and abs. The “bulky” look is actually quite hard to achieve depending on your body type and it takes years of lifting very very heavy while being on a caloric surplus...so there’s no way for you to start lifting and accidentally look “bulky” !!!

again before I left Cairns. The Usual Suspects...scrambled eggs, bacon, spinach and toast 😍
When you haven’t had a good workout routine for months but the sting suits make your arms look toned anyway 😂 Such an incredible day visiting the Great Barrier Reef today 😍🐠

I started incorporating Intermittent Fasting on Oct 1 and so far so good! I could have done way WAY better in my last 4 weeks 🤦🏻♀️ ... But there were some yummy eats that took place in November that I didn’t have the will power to turn down😋. #teamnowillpower
And nope, I sure didn’t take a before pic from day 1 🙈. I honestly hate taking pics of myself to begin with (find it too time consuming). But I really wish I had! I didn’t notice a difference today with being down only 4lbs until I put the two side by side (albeit a subtle change). Hoping to be down another 8lbs which I’m predicting will take another 10-12weeks to widdle off 🐢. And yes, I’m totally accounting for Christmas eats 😏🎅 🍽🍗🥧🍡🥞🍫 #gimmeallthefood

SOME NUTRITION TIPS THAT PERSONALLY HELPED ME LOSE BODY FAT:
1. 🍉Eat foods with higher volume but less calories to trick your stomach into thinking its full (ex: a big big bowl of salad with lots of chicken will keep you just as full as a bowl of spaghetti but with a lot less calories)
2. 🥝Find substitutes for rice to avoid high volume of carbs! Cauliflower rice, egg whites, salad base, etc.
3. 🥭When plating your food, try to have your carbs take up about 1/4 of the plate and protein (ex: chicken breast) 1/2 the plate.
4. 🍓Avoid PROCESSED carbs as much as possible. (Ex: soda, candy, chips, etc)
5. 🍍Intermittent fasting: 16 hour fasting periods (don’t eat from 8pm night before until 12pm lunchtime the next day) Calories in smaller time frame =feel full longer = less unhealthy snacking habits.

A lot of people have been asking about NUTRITION! This picture shows a 25lb difference in 10 months.
When I first wanted to start losing weight, it took me a really long time to realize what the “secret” is to losing weight fast. Cardio and working out is so important but nutrition is honestly like 80% of it. .
It took me a few months to realize that the “secret” to losing weight was to be on a slight caloric DEFICIT which means the calories you eat is slightly less than the calories you burn throughout the WHOLE DAY. I was surprised to learn that the calories you burn throughout the whole day is actually in the THOUSANDS!!!...even without exercise. The calories you burn in a day isn’t just the number it says you burned on the treadmill haha. I suggest ppl use a TDEE calculator (which u can find online) to find out what the total number of calories you burn in a day is around and the number of calories you eat in a day should be roughly 80% of that. That’s honestly the only “secret” to SUSTAINABLY lose weight and to maintain it. Special diets work for some people but this was honestly the best way that worked for me. .
