Leg Day was quicker today as I timed myself and limited rests to 60 seconds and 90 seconds for supersets. -
1 - Leg Press 4 x 10
2a - Dumbbell Walking Lunges 3 x 12
2b - Standing Weighted Calf Raise 3 x 20
3a - Single Leg Extensions 2 x 10/side
3b - Leg Extensions 2 x 10
Today was 14 sets done in about 45 minutes after foam roll and warm up on the bike. For those who love to split up muscle groups and work legs on their own day, shorter rest periods and supersets will make you work that much harder without adding more weight. -
For those wondering, the pants are from RISE which makes awesome workout gear for those who have muscle and dudes who need stretchy pants for deadlifts, squats, and pressing 💪🏼😆

Yesterday was day 6 for Round 1 Phase 1 of 80 Day Obsession.
Saturdays are cardio. This workout is TOUGH for me. But as I was working through it I thought about this time last year, when I was doing this exact workout for the very first time.
I remember that it was so difficult for me I had to modify the modifier. I had to stop in the middle to rest. I almost puked. I'm pretty sure I cried. After this workout I really really wanted to quit the entire challenge.
But I kept going...and going...and going...and here I am now.
Yesterday's workout was still tough. But this time, I was tougher. I could tell how far I've come, I was jumping higher, squatting lower, doing more pushups...All I could think about was what if I HAD quit this time last year. Where would I be now?
My wish for you is that you realize your power, right now, TODAY. You realize how tough you are. You understand how worthy you are. You fully believe that you are beautiful and brilliant and that you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to.
Let me be your proof that hard work and dedication will get you to your goals. I wasn't always sure of where I was going but I just kept moving because I WAS sure that I didn't want to be where I was anymore.
January is just flying by...don't lose your momentum. Don't lose that fire in your soul. Renew your commitment each and every day.

Here's an easy and simple way to schedule your workouts for the week. .
. 🙈First, you want to figure out how many days you want to train. Then figure out how to split up each day. Remember, this is just an example, there are a million ways to structure workouts that are best fitted for you. For example, the 3x a week, you can easily have three full body days, 1 upper, 1 lower, 1 run outside, 1 full body, 1 run outside, 1 hike, etc. .
. 👍Secondly, going with my example, you want to pick exercises accordingly. Upper body days will contain pressing, pulling, core exercises etc. Full body days will include every single exercise, think push, pull, leg, and core. Lower body days are obviously lower body exercises only. .
. 😜***PRO TIP!*** If you have two upper body days and two lower body days think of each day as either horizontal push and pull exercises and vertical push and pull exercises. One day do push-ups and dumbbells rows, and the other shoulder press and lat pull down! .
Lastly, if you're training 5x a week add in a day or two of "fun" activities like running, biking, swimming, dancing, etc.! .

In the picture on the right, (when I was 28, 12 years ago) I wasn't healthy. I wasn't living my best life. I didn't feel the best inside, mentally or physically. Nothing ever fit, my breathing was always labored, I tired easily, I always had heartburn...and much more.
Every December I would make my resolutions to be healthier, to work out, to go for my dreams.
Every January I would waver, go back to my Doritos, sodas, cigarettes, self-loathing...whatever... But in January of 2018 "I made goals for myself and I chased after them with complete dedication and it worked." So what was different this time?
I've tried lots of programs before...Weight Watchers (which I LOVE), Jenny Craig, Atkins, starvation. Then I found Beachbody and through that I found 80 Day Obsession. Everything about this program suits my needs. It fits me and my lifestyle. I love long term goals so giving me 80 days works. I love working out at home.
