You ever fall asleep like every other normal night, and than wake up to just.. a dream.
Cause it has to be a dream.
There’s no way this is actually real.
And yet the antlers say otherwise..
Shoving a strand of garland out of my face as I tromp down the stairs towards the sound of Christmas music playing, I come to a halt at spotting Tony.
The man is decked out in full on ugly Christmas sweater and a Santa hat, while drinking something that looks suspiciously like eggnog.
I demand, striding the rest of the way towards him as he turns, his expression annoyed.
“You here to complain too?”
“I woke up with damned antlers on my head. With jingle bells. Of course I’m here to complain!”
“Well save it.”
“You are aware that it’s the middle of October, aren’t you? Halloween hasn’t even passed!”
“Of course I know that! You think I wanted to do this?”
His statement has my eyes widening, a tired frown settling over his face.
“It wasn’t intentional, but..”
He trails off, gulping down the rest of his drink as heavy footsteps sound down the same flight of stairs I’d come from.
“We’re down here, Peter.”
Tony calls, setting the glass behind him and glaring at me.
“Not. One. Word.”
He warns, turning to face the teenager as he came bounding in.
“Mr. Stark, the building looks amazing! I totally thought you were kidding when you said you’d do this!”
A wide grin is on the boy’s face, and when he turns, his eyes light up more when seeing me.
“Mr. White Wolf! Are you gonna go Christmas caroling with us?”
He asks eagerly, and as my mouth opens to respond, I can feel Tony’s glare burning a hole into my head.
“Why are we doing this?”
Natasha hisses, her fingers clamped tightly around a caroling book.
“Relax, Nat. It’s some sort of event the hospital is putting on. We’re helping little kids.”
I offer, watching her scowl.
“Why a Christmas theme though? Who came up with this?”
“I’m so sorry I’m late!”
Peter yelps, a Christmas sweater tugged down over his Spider-Man suit.
“Have you ever tried to say no to that kid? It doesn’t work. Trust me.”
