Quite amazing i think. #alps
There’s nothing like it.
And deafeningly loud.
Only seconds after snapping this shot, things got pretty wild.
It’s often those simple sudden moments you’ll remember a lifetime.
hanging out with the countryside locals 🌾
Appreciating the few days we get together between work and stuff 🙈
The hike back from Manuel Antonio
With a 2,847ft elevation gain to get to Bear Peak, I knew I was in for a doozy.
I love challenging myself physically and mentally when it comes to going on a mountain adventure. It's a way to reset my mind, and body.
Every now and again when life starts to take a toll on the mental exhaustion I have a tendency of welcoming in more anxiety into my life, something I struggle with on the daily. These hikes pull me so far into the moment that I can't help but focus on breathing, and my every step. I'm so focused that when I finally get to a view point, I'm completely caught off guard because of the focus just to get there. That brief moment promotes a level of awe I strive for all the time.
In the far distance you can make out some snow storms brewing and building. I love when the clouds and sun combined create some dramatic lighting casted over the mountains, creating some epic layers⛰️
It's weird to describe, but I've never felt more present in those very moments. I'm reminded of how small we are in relation to this world, and how much more there is to experience.
Happy hump day friends!🐫 Stay adventurous 🤙
Just as I was writing today's date in my journal I realized it's been exactly a year since I was in Bali. I'm really good at remembering exact dates for some reason 🤷♀️ Exactly a year ago this picture was taken. This was the Mt. Batur sunrise trek. It was cloudy so didn't get the sunrise I had imagined, but it was still totally worth it. I remember starting the trek half asleep at 2am to make it up in time to see the sunrise over the volanco. This was the first time (and now that I think of it, the only time... So far 😜) where I trekked for hours in the complete dark. When we got up to the top we cooked our eggs from the steam of the volcano. I thought that was so cool 😁 and the view was just amazing. Even walking back down on the ridge of the volcano was a trip. Anyways, I'm pretty much just rambling about my memories now 😅 I'm gonna get back to to my writing in my journal hahaha
So, who needs a holiday then?
