I apologize in advance for grammatical errors in any of my posts... I know all the rules to the English Language but applying them has never been my forte 🙃...There was a time it would’ve prevented me from sharing or expressing myself but instead I’ve decide to accept it... I feel what I have to share is more important than the way it actually comes out! I think I still manage to get my point across and be heard... I know this irritates some people greatly and I do apologize but it just doesn’t process in my brain 🧠 🤷🏻♀️... my strengths lie in other areas I suppose... Maybe an editor in my future 😊! *
My initiation to motherhood continued last week with my baby boy going in for his tongue-tie laser surgery. Unbeknownst to us he had a tongue (front and posterior), cheek and lip-tie. Leo was just shy of 3 months upon finding this out. *
We will rewind a bit.. at his two week check-up my pediatrician happened to have noticed he had a “mild” tongue-tie. She was only made aware because he happened to let out a rather large scream during the examination, not because this is part of a routine check! Which brings me here sharing my story today, it is again, in the hopes it can help someone else out. Someone who may be at their whits-end trying to get to the root issue of what their babe may be experiencing, instead of “they are colicky” out of the clear blue sky...by your third you begin to realize “there’s always a reason” it’s just about pinpointing it...thankful for mom friends, connecting to those near and far via social media and the web! *
To be honest today marks a week since his surgery. I haven’t even had a moment to call my pediatrician, let her know we went for the surgery and that he had further ties. Not to write-off doctors at all, we love our pediatrician but to show, we are as parents, are our child’s biggest advocate. Insurance, the latest research or study, the pharma companies, none play a role in the “mama-gut” all that matters is making your baby right, comfortable and happy. It’s not about what the latest research has to say because truth be told, I have 3 kids now and they have changed the protocol (continued in comments)

Just when you think you've seen all the sad animal stories, something new happens. Our latest cat came to us hurt, in pain, and under suspicious circumstances. Initially, the people who contacted us said that they found the cat as a stray, but then one of them mentioned the cat was a gift. After going back and forth, they finally told us the real story. They'd been given the cat as a gift about a month ago, and then at some point the cat--most likely scared and anxious--hid under the couch. As the people were pulling him out, he got stuck, and somehow in the process, his leg was broken. It took us almost two days to get the kitty, but as soon as people agreed to it, we took him in immediately. Poor baby is covered in fleas, his leg is still covered in dry blood, his paw is swollen, and he cries out in pain if you touch him. 😞 We named him Smokey. Please contribute to Smokey’s urgent medical bills by clicking the link in our BIO or PayPal at email@example.com

Living in the city like New York you learn a lot!
If you were born or raised in New York you might not feel about this the same way as a person who moved here with a strong vision to “make it in life”. They say this city is tough.
They also say “if you make it here you make it anywhere”. I can tell you from personal experience that this city has made me strong.
Much stronger as I was when moved here.
From day one I was my own boss.
Carve out my own path and ensure to keep my lifestyle on certain level wasn’t easy.
They say “you learn about yourself the most when times are tough.”
Tough times show you who you really are.
Where you need to get tougher, improve ... simply get better.
In my early days living here I realized that I’m not strong and though enough.
In other words I did underestimate the challenges and what it will take to overcome them and get where I want.
I also learned that for this to get better I had to get better.
After all though I fell in love with New York and will forever praise this city for giving me an opportunity to become who I am today.
REMEMBER, LIFE CAN EITHER MAKE YOU STRONGER OR BRAKE YOU.
THE OUTCOME IS UP TO YOU!
