I can appreciate all the delicious and not so nutritious foods that make life enjoyable🧁🍫🍩. The things you eat at holidays and celebrations. The soul food. But I can also appreciate the foods that are good for me 🥬🥒🍋🍏🥗 . The foods that aren’t always the most exciting. The body food.
Like this meal: a spinach, blueberries, superfoods smoothie, and sprouted toast with natural peanut butter. This is my breakfast 99% of the time and I don’t ever get bored of it. This nourishes my body (because my shake has like 6 salads worth of nutrients) AND soul (because hi 🙋🏻♀️ I’m obsessed with nut butters) and I love knowing that I’ve started my day this way!
I always go back and forth about sharing this kind of stuff. On the one hand my journey to health and wellness means a million times more to me than how I look or my size. On the other, this is a tangible way others can see the outcome of my efforts. Ironically around this point my interest started to shift its focus on my changing appearance rather than my significantly improved wellbeing and like clockwork I grew inconsistent. I am currently at similar body measures and a similar size months later because I lost my focus on wellness and started thinking too much about my appearance. Had I stayed this size and continued to make the healthy choices that got me here I would be completely at peace with it. However I got really sloppy. Not consistently eating well, inconsistent photo documenting, overeating one day because my healthy lifestyle could start the next day, etc. I strung healthy and unhealthy days together to stay about the same size. I lost sight of what was truly important, my wellness, and started envisioning quick fixes for my looks and it shook my system. Here are 10 of my accomplishments from today:
1) Rebekah went down at 11:15pm, slept through till 8:30am.
2) Continuing to do pushups. +1 every day. Today 349 tomorrow 350. Sporadic and ended up being late to finish.
3) Got some time with Rebekah this morning, just quiet peaceful time, mostly.
4) Drove Ashley to drop of clothing at someone's house.
5) Started watching "The Circle" on Netflix.
6) Looking for book suggestions. What are some of your must reads? One of mine is "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George. Apparently a trio series, guess I can add the other two to my list.
7) Travelled to @chocolatsfavoris
to pick up my free gift card and to get lunch.
8 ) Watched 2 episodes of "Kim's Convenience" on Netflix.
9) Cleaned out 3 big messy poopy diapers, what does this kid eat?
10) Breakfast was chocolate @shakeology
with PB2 and hot water with honey and lemon
Lunch was chocolate poutine
Dinner was sausage, cheese, and sour cream/cream cheese dip, with chips. Ty @a_darlingmccallum

I've noticed some new faces on here lately so I thought I'd share some fun facts about me:
1. I'm a total bookworm. I especially love thrillers or really anything with a good mystery involved📚🔎
2. Cows are my fave animals🐄
3. I've been to 21 states + the Bahamas. Hoping to check a few more off in 2019😉✈
4. If I could survive off of coffee and Bud Light I would gladly do so😂
5. I'm trying to grow my hair out to my hips (or longer). My friends say I'm close but I feel like I'm so far away🙄

Passes blocked for two weeks after Friday so I need to get all the Christmas Disney time in that I can.
Benefits of my workouts:
1. Stronger body
2. Positive influence on my family
3. No time wasted driving to and from a gym
4. Don't have to worry about what I forgot to bring
5. I can mess up, flop, or even fall and NO ONE else has to see it.
With that said, let me just tell you that it took a few tries of coordination to get this move down. I will admit it wasn't pretty 🤣
My son Chris wanted his favorite Shake for a snack tonight: Vegan Vanilla Shakeology, peanut butter, Maple Syrup, unsweetened almond milk and ice.
It spelled so good that made my nighttime Recharge Shake the same way.

Can’t wait to see where we’ll be a year from now. She’ll be celebrating her first year on this earth. I’ll be feeling healed, strong and maybe ready to go for baby 2?! 🙀

All I know is what I did to get those results pre-baby, stay in shape during baby will be the same system I use postpartum and for the rest of my life. I have a program to look forward to that’s FUN! A community that inspires me daily, an easy to follow meal system that I can follow, a holistic supplement to keep mommy + baby healthy and motivation to be a good example as her mother. 🙏🏼
What more could you ask for as a new mom? So grateful for these tools and my job for making me my top priority.
So this kid on the right...wanted to try and lose some weight. So on Dec. 1 we started a little family challenge—-drink our superfood shake for breakfast, no processed sugar (3 cheat days...it is December) and make an effort to eat healthier & control portions and exercise. So nothing crazy...nothing extreme—-just a healthier lifestyle.
Umm....he’s at the 1/2 way mark for the month and has lost 7 pounds!!!! Ya—-total rockstar!!!
He is so excited!! .

My secret Santa gift has arrived! 🎄 My team is the best! I would have never thought to do this. I haven't done this since elementary school with friends, its normally with just family, so when we decided to do a secret Santa with the team, it made me feel like a kid again. When I received the package, I was already smiling then once I saw all the gifts, I was smiling even more. Thank you my secret Santa! Now, it's time to guess who was my secret Santa? Before I whipped up this superfood deliciousness, I thought to myself, what’s the point? I already ate like 💩💩💩 today.
Then I thought, no, it doesn’t matter that I have been completely off my meal plan. I SHOULD still fuel my body with what it deserves.🙌🏼
Yes, before this I had two chocolate chip brownies. Before that, I tasted about 5 of our homemade cookies (just to make sure they were good enough to give 😉), and I inhaled more peanut butter than I can remember...🤷🏼♀️
Do I feel great about it? NOPE.
Does my body like it? NOPE.
Was it a bad idea!? Mmmmm Maybe? .
I try to promote a healthy lifestyle for myself and others because that’s the kind of lifestyle my body needs and wants. For the most part I think I stick to it. I work really hard to make sure body is fueled with what it needs, and is active. .
But then there’s days like this. Where my eating gets a little out of control and workouts are at a minimum, thanks to a handful of things.🤷🏼♀️
What I do know is, I still have the option to make healthy choices every minute, every hour, every day.
This is all part of the journey 💫 .

Do you ever have a day when you just seem “off” or are so tired and have a hard time getting motivated? This was one of my days. It was a hard “hiit only” day and I felt like I was all over the map. I lost my balance quite a few times, had to modify a couple of moves, but I finished the workout. I have to laugh at myself when I watch this., but I am dang proud that I finished the workout without quitting. A couple of years ago I would have called it quits after ten minutes. I may not be the most graceful at the moment, but His Grace for the moment allowed me to finish. ❤️. The official start date for our fitness challenge group, that will be using Shaun T’s new program, isn’t until January 14th,but I believe in being prepared. That is probably one of the most important lessons I’ve learned during my weightloss journey. .
For those of you who don’t know my story I use to weigh 352 lbs and I’ve lost 175 lbs and kept it off for 10 years now. Yes, I’ve fluctuated up and down a few pounds here and there, but I’ve always been able to get back on track simply by getting back to a program. .
