A lazy mind's thoughts on the last sunset of 2017 . . .
So, we shall ring in a "new" and "happy" year in a couple of hours.
There's celebration all around. It is after all the last day of the year. Such a spectacle will not be seen for another 366 days!
I've have been on social media long enough (and it pains me) to realize that nowadays happiness displayed on social media > happiness in reality.
It's only natural to wonder that if we ourselves don't enjoy our own company, how do we expect others to?
Also, hope is a fantastic (and equally dangerous) thing. Put into words by Paulo Coelho, "When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too."
Alhamdulillah, for all the love, people, teachings, humbling experiences, ups and downs, and travel (💓) 2017 brought along.
