Most people are so obsessed with how much they bench that form is the last thing they think about . We see a lot of people put their feet up on the bench but this is not a good idea. Despite bench being an upper body exercise, your legs are actually a pretty important part of the lift. Using leg drive will keep you more stable, will help you lift more weight, and be more explosive. It’s also pretty much impossible to arch your back this way which puts your shoulders in a more vulnerable position and also makes you less powerful. - You also don’t want to bounce the bar off your chest or have your butt come off the bench. You should slightly arch your back, control the weight, touch your chest, and use a full range of motion.
