From my friends @buslifenz...
they've got an incredible story that I got to play a small part in. Head over to their profile and check out the trailer to their video about the three of us almost dying in a earthquake, and then reuniting again after seven years. These memories give me the chills...
"On February 22nd 2011, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake devastated the city of Christchurch, New Zealand, killing 185 people. In the midst of the devastation, we were trapped at the top of a high rise hotel, where we met an American man they knew only as Jeremy. In the most dire of life circumstances - trapped and thinking the building was going to collapse in the earthquake aftershocks - we forged a bond, while supporting each other and talking about what we would change in our lives if we managed to escape the building and survive. Many terrifying hours later, we were rescued, only to be separated in the chaos that followed. We never saw each other again. In the years to come, Andy battled serious post-traumatic stress and depression while Amber struggled with Post Natal Depression. It took all our strength to rebuild our lives and try to change it in the way we had talked about in the ruins of that high rise building. Seven years later, with a new and healthy life on the road in a house bus, our thoughts turn back to the man we bonded with at the top of that crumbling building. What has become of Jeremy? Has he gone through any of the same struggles we have? Has he tried to build a new life too? Armed with the barest of information, we set out to find Jeremy."
