What is your go-to method for destressing?? Let's chat about it!⠀
If you're reading this, then you are breathing. So throw those excuses away. This simple (and ridiculously easy) example of mindfulness is extremely effective in calming the mind, and the body. ⠀
With this practice, there is no need to breathe in any particular way. Don't change your breathe, or force anything. Simply observe. How long is your inhale? Is your exhale longer, shorter, or the same? Are you inhaling through your nose, or your mouth? Observe the exhale as well. Take note of where the breath is naturally directed; is it moving to the chest, or the belly? You might even place one hand on your abdomen and observe its movement. At this point, if it feels good, you may chose to count your inhales and exhales. ⠀
Seriously, could this be any easier? (yes, you were supposed to read that using your best Chandler voice). This can literally be done anywhere, anytime, in the presence of anyone. One of the simplest ways to practice mindfulness, and decrease stress, is to simply pay attention to the natural breath. ⠀

💭 Tudo na vida é mutável, inclusive a gente. 🦋
It's easy to love the people who love us back. The ones who are gentle and kind to our spirits. It's easy to smile with affection on the ones who feed our souls.
It isn't usually healthy to hold onto toxic love. Love that isn't love at all. Replicas of love that feel more like abuse. Claustrophobia. Suffocation. Hurt. Possession. Control. There is a time to let go.
But we can love those who cause us pain. Sometimes love is the most brilliant healer. It says, "I am bigger than this". "I will grow from this". "I will take the high road". "I will make peace". “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy'. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

I made this bowl a few months ago, but I wanted to share it with you because it was kind of special😌. I mixed spinach with water, plantmilk and a date and than cooked my porridge in the mixture. I think we should all try new things. I really like sneaking veggies into EVERYTHING😂
However challenged you may feel in your life, keep searching for the light to lead you out of the darkness that you feel that you're in. That light could come through your thoughts just by thinking differently about your situation which could help turn things around for the better. Never give up on yourself. Create the light you need to lift you out of your dark and difficult times. ❤️
Feels... Getting to go to the gym even just twice a week sometimes (I go as often as being a mum, working and college allows) has been my absolute saviour the last 4 years. MENTALLY it enables me to channel any emotion into my workout leaving me feeling such relief/calm/clarity afterwards-like I have tonight for example. Not forgetting the PHYSICAL benefits that come with it. Even just the little things like being able to walk up the stairs without getting a little out of breath or being able to do things around the house etc myself without having to ask Gareth to lift/carry things for me. To anyone who suffers with mental health I really do recommend joining a gym or even just get yourself out and go for a run. Better than any antidepressant I have been prescribed in the past. It works! :) #mentalhealth #fitness #mentalrelease #overcomedepression
Lauren Schostak is 17 years old and a junior at Berkley High School. Lauren enjoys tennis and is a busy entrepreneur, co-running “Ba-Gals”, a Sunday morning bagel delivery service.
But not everything is how it appears. Growing up, Lauren felt isolated from her peers. With an undiagnosed learning disability and mental illness, school was exhausting for Lauren. Eventually, Lauren's mental health spiraled out of control.
Today, Lauren has found her voice, and she will share her story with us on March 14th. Lauren hopes to live in a place where mental health stigmas do not exist and no one feels ashamed to use their voice and share their struggle.

We are HERE TO HELP!
One question often asked is, “Is there such a thing as getting over post-traumatic stress disorder?” That is a question that is very difficult to answer. Treatments are available to certainly help diminish the effects of PTSD. But, some people will argue if it ever goes away completely.
One treatment making headway in the fight against PTSD is the use of cannabis oil. Some patients feel as though it helped significantly in reducing the agonizing symptoms. However, official studies have been difficult to come by, due to fighting the endless red tape and bureaucracy. Studies have been promising though, with military personnel claiming relief with the use of cannabis oil when other treatments have failed.
Other medical issues that cannabis oil treats include the following:
Anecdotal evidence in the use of cannabis oil and PTSD, while not official studies, has been overwhelmingly encouraging for those who suffer from PTSD. In fact, it has been so encouraging, that the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in the US has given the approval for a study to be conducted on the use of cannabis as medicine.

So. Freaking. Excited. .
100 days feels like forever. Even tho I have been here before. I feel so super accomplished. And cant wait to surpass 6 months. But, all I have is today, and today I wont drink. .
Oh, and my new hair. I really love it and I feel more me than I have in a while. Idk if I'll ever go blonde again but I'm loving the purple. .
Several people close to me have expressed their dislike and I've let it be known that I dont need that kind of negativity in my life. It's really disheartening when complete strangers are more kind to you. Oh well. I'm not going to let it change my mind. I love it. And that's what matters.
They say when a girl is going through some shit, she changes her hair.
Much like my hair, I am damaged and frayed. But we are both going through some repairs. So enjoy this picture of me mid-transition. Soon it will be purple. 👀
What do you guys do when you're going through some changes? .

Hello! sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, I’ve had a pretty busy weekend! it was my mum’s birthday yesterday so I tried to stay off my phone as much as possible! It was beautiful weather so we went for a lovely walk along the beach where I haven’t been in aaages and honestly having the sea breeze blowing in my face felt so needed🌊 me and my brothers also cooked a surprise dinner for mum in the evening which was a little stressful but went really well, and she really liked it ah😅 (we managed to cook lots of little bits so people could choose the bits they liked!) and we also made her a cake which we spent all Saturday baking, and I even tried a little bit for dessert!! Because what’s a birthday without cake?? it was so nice to see how pleased mum was when I joined in and asked for a piece🤪(considering most birthdays end up in me having a breakdown and shutting myself in my room🙄) I’m off school for half term this week, but I’m going to try and have a productive week n not let depression take over, but also not overwork because my body does need to recharge its battery too lol balance is key amiright😉 hope you’re all okay x x x
At times we question the definition of beauty, and where we may " fit in." Regardless of how someone else defines you, always remember there is beauty in who you are. Your look and story will always be unique. #Affirmations
Happy and content. Definitely giving myself a well-earned break; mental health hasn't been the best but I'm allowing myself to enjoy food and rest and totally take advantage of the beautiful, peaceful surroundings🌲

Can you identify when a situation or a behavior is toxic to the mental health of your partner? Sometimes we are in a state that we are not able to notice within ourselves. We think we are going about life as usual, functioning as we normally would and have no idea of the battles against us, or that we’ve built a wall around ourselves. Loving someone also requires holding them accountable to caring for themselves, and taking care of self first.
That’s what I enjoy most about this couple. Two of my favorite people on this platform are @word2mylocs
They take care of each other, but also advocate for and practice taking care of their mental state while in a relationship and marriage.
It’s Monday!! That means you can tune in to Episode 25 of their @hoodxholistic
Podcast. You won’t be disappointed 💚 peace & love
