Four years ago today, I was admitted to the hospital and almost died. You know the story: Blah blah necrotizing fasciitis blah blah robo-pinky blah blah beer prescription blah blah outta there!
I am eternally grateful to Becky, Jeff, Bill and Dea, and everyone else for their ongoing support.
I am also not special. While many people joke that I’m a superhero or a mutant to have made the recovery I’ve experienced (at least I THINK they’re joking), it has all come down to my choices. I chose to not accept the doctors’ predictions. I chose to set challenging personal goals. I am choosing to use my experience to help others improve their lives.
What are you choosing to do today?
Also, the different colored socks are for Down Syndrome Awareness Day. Sometimes, the kindest people you know are also the strongest.
First appearance of Yellowjacket! Rad old book, horrible figure. I was reluctant to even post this because of how bad he is, but I did it for content! He is a placeholder until Hasbro almost inevitably knocks one out of the park one day. 🐝
