Personally, I've never really been a fan of Luke Cage.
I'm a modern superhero fan I.e I like to see some talking, but plenty of badass fight scenes and some serious power usage.
But Power Man can't do that, because his fight scenes are essentially a test of how much he can break.
So, this time, enter Bushmaster. Very similar, but he has the skills.
Yes, Luke has powers. But he's just a regular guy, and throws himself around rather than being a karate master.
Our new nemesis is a fully skilled fighter, and suddenly a very real threat.
Which is just one side. His mentality is challenged by Mariah Stokes, who isn't best pleased about the previous series' casualties. And is ready to make it own.
Naturally, it would be sacrilege not to mention a certain Iron Fist's appearance.
Their camaraderie from Defenders is played upon, and they are an incredible match. Plus they present one of the best scenes in, and this is just my opinion, the whole of the MCU.
Where does he leave us?
This is Marvel, so not where you expect.
