These 3 products have been my life savers over the past several weeks. Moving to a state where their major cities have an elevation as high as the tallest peak of the Appalachian range was quite a physical transition for someone who is and wants to remain extremely active. I went from living at 600ft above sea level to living at close to 5,000ft above sea level. Body fat testing and strength testing for me yesterday with some pretty awesome results. Whilst I’ve been trying to lose body fat to establish how low and lean I can get sub 100mls since June I was shocked to see that in August my body fat had increased 3mls! Big question - was this an increase in body fat, water retention or the menopause? Whatever I was not impressed taking into account the effort I give. Concerted effort and a calorie level of just over 1100
😭 coupled with the introduction of cardio and the subsidence of menopausal flushes brings a great result. Down 10mls in the last 4 weeks and 13mls down on 6 months ago when I was the same weight and 17mls down on when I was bulking!
On the back of that strength testing on the back squat and bench for my 1RM. Not so much for a PB but more to establish if strength had been affected. Backsquat was on point with my last 1RM but bench was just shy of my previous 1RM. All in all a positive outcome and let’s see where the next 4 was takes us.

Post 6 mile run a day early! I am out of town visiting my grandparents and I wont be able to run tomorrow, so I figured, "why not today?"
At mile 4 all I could think about was getting back. "I need carbs, my calves hurt, my shoulder is starting to ache, and I'm ready to be done." I didn't stop early and walk through a short cut. I didn't call my dad to come pick me up, and I didnt quit. I finished the run only 3 minutes slower than I did on Sunday and I'm not mad about it. I know that I can run for 6 miles (walking some) and make it home. .
If you need a lesson or tip in how to stay determined, pick an end goal. Mine were multiple. "Get to that lamp post, that bridge, that crack in the cement" I'd get there, but wouldnt stop, I'd pick another and another until I got home. .

It's lonely at the top (of the bosu ball). This workout was a trial. My week started with a work encounter with someone who has pneumonia, and my week ended with spending the morning in close quarters with someone who had a nasty cold.
