One of my favorite tricks to do is too cook my quinoa in bone broth. The quinoa absorbs all the healthy broth making it a powerhouse of protein, gut health, and immunity minerals! Combined with cucumbers, cauliflower, garbanzo beans, and a hard boiled egg for a protein packed + veggie filled lunch! 💪🏻 #womeneatprotein #proteinpacked #quinoabowl
Tyler’s breakfast for the week is done!! Tried one and it was so good! Moist, healthy, perfectly sweet and super easy to make. Recipe in the comments below!! #teamfejeran #kidapprovedfoods #fixate
My kids ate quinoa. I repeat: my kids ate quinoa. And willingly! I was inspired by the corn+quinoa at Flower Child and made a bake of my own, mixing onion, corn, tri-color quinoa, plain greek yogurt, parmesan and added some crumbled sausage from the farmer’s market. THEY ARE ASKING FOR MORE. So thankful to find new foods they love!
Check out this kid approved Cheeky Chickpea Cookie Dough Recipe. SOOO easy, tasty and ready in about 5 minutes. No need to head to the store to fix that sugar craving, you’ll have made these and eaten them in the time it would take to buy a cookie.
You will need:
1 can of drained and rinsed chickpeas
1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter
2 1/2 tablespoons of maple syrup
2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1/3 cup of chocolate chips (preferably dark or cacao nibs if your being super healthy!) Throw it all in the food processor except the chocolate chips, whizz it up till its smooth and looks like cookie dough.
Remove and put in to a bowl then fold in the chocolate chips.
Roll into balls to serve or in small glasses (I used shot glasses 😝) And voila a tasty less naughty sugar fix 🙌🏻 For the cool people following the portion control nutrition, I would say 2 balls =1💙1🥄
Enjoy! 😊 xx

What’s your quick go-to food when your starving, getting dizzy, and just need something NOW?? Mine used to be Granola bars. Cereal bars. Any kind of “health” bar. Most of them having chocolate 🍫 in them.
This was before I started becoming in tune with my body.
When I did I realized that 1: I have to be gluten free orrrr suffer major fatigue, brain fog and stomach cramps. 2: I read the labels of my favorite snack bars and 😳😳😳no wonder I was having sugar crashes and weight gain... cause yeah I basically survived off those things for a straight year.... or more🙊
Since then eggs have been one of my quick go too’s. Because they take two minutes to make, are yummy, protein and iron and take away the I’m going to faint feeling.
Plus no more sugar crashes.
Crazy how things change when you start listening to your own body, amiright?

School lunches don't have to be (and shouldn't be) boring! This yummy tomato soup is the perfect way to give your kids a boost of vitamins in a fun, flavourful way. Plus this super cute insulated container from @DbBabies
is a sure winner on the playground 😉
Mac 'n cheese seems to be a universal kid favourite! 💛 And while it may not be the healthiest dinner on the planet, there are tons of ways you can modify recipes to boost their nutritional content. In fact, mac 'n cheese is brilliant for fussy eaters - try sneaking in some pureeed butternut or carrots the next time you make some (your child might even prefer the slightly sweeter taste!).
Did you know that a pork chop is about as lean as a chicken breast? 😱
Living in the GCC means that we probably eat pork less often (and also we have go through the "naughty" door at the back of the grocery store to find it 😂), but it really can be a nutritous choice of protein. Additionally it's a great source of B vitamins and zinc #nowyouknow
It’s that time of year again when us mums are over promising ourselves that we will make even more effort with our kids pack lunch this year 😉 But, realistically I also know that I don't have the time to make cute vegetable animals and sandwiches cut into fancy shapes 🙈 and I will not chastise myself any more - head over to the blog and see my expert tips on creating easy lunchbox snacks that your kids will love 💛
Banana Hemp Heart Pancakes!! 🙌🙌 Sunday has become pancake day in our house. I have been experimenting with different healthy variations and want to share my favorite!
They are loaded with protein, fiber, healthy fats and omegas! I make up a few batches and freeze them for Lukas's breakfast all week. He LOVES helping me make them and sprinkling on the toppings! ❤️Try them out and let me know what you think! .
Banana Hemp Heart Pancakes (Flourless!!)
3 TBSPS Hemp Hearts or 2 TBSPS Ground Flax Seed
1 TBSP Coconut Oil
1/2 TSP Vanilla
1/4 TSP Cinnamon
Dash of salt (I prefer Pink Himalayan Sea Salt)
Mash the banana add the 2 eggs and beat well. Add remaining ingredients. I like to sprinkle Chia Seeds or Blueberries on top for added nutrition and fun!
What do I do with all of this leftover basil 🤔 make homemade pesto of course! Throw it in whole grain pasta, or in top of chicken or fish. Pulse 1C basil with 1/4 C grated parmesan, 1-2 garlic cloves, and 2-1/2 TBSP of evoo.
Fresh coat of snow, but I'm in a tropical state of mind over here. 🥝🏝Did you know that kiwi has 5x the vitamin C of an orange? It was on sale too! Winning!!
Note to self: turn the pan's heat down. Medium-High heat will scortch my bread! 😉
Not only does this provide a serving if lean protein, half a serving of vegetables, 1.5 servings of carbs, and half a serving of healthy fats, but it is kid approved! My 2 year old kept asking for more...bread scortched and all!
I call this concoction a win! And it is kind of fun to make too! :) Message me for the recipe. #eatingcleanfun #havingfunwithfood
Day 13 ✔️ Almost two weeks down! Today was another good day. We were out of the house most of the morning and early afternoon. Packed up my lunch and brought with me. I grocery shopped to prep for week 3.
Breakfast was smashed chickpeas which is surprisingly really good and I had to share it with Rayelee. Also had to share my quinoa salad with her from lunch and my soup from dinner. She loves the food on the Reset too. I'd say it's kid approved!
