Yes! This is me! My thyroid problem, called Hashimotos thyroiditis, was diagnosed first. My biggest symptom was exhaustion. I was so exhausted that my joints and muscles would ache and I couldn't think clearly. I had been suffering from symptoms for years but finally my new doctor ordered antibody tests to diagnose me. My PCOS diagnosis came a couple of years later. With both conditions I had to advocate for myself. I demanded answers and stayed persistent. You have to be your own advocate!! .

MY FABULOUS COUNTRY KETO BISCUITS
1½ cups Almond Flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
⅓ cup sour cream
4 Tablespoons melted butter
⅓ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ tablespoon granulated Swerve
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spray muffin pan.
Combine all of the dry ingredients.
Use a fork to break up the clumps.
Combine all of the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix.
Add mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 10-12 minutes and golden brown.
Low-Carb Sausage Gravy
1 pound ground breakfast sausage
1/4 tablespoon xanthan gum
1/2 tablespoon dried sage
1 cup chicken stock
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. When skillet is hot, add the sausage, breaking into small chunks with a spoon.
Cook sausage over medium high heat until brown and cooked through. Drain off excess fat.
Place skillet with the sausage over medium low heat. Sprinkle xanthan gum on top and stir in. Stir in dried sage and black pepper
Gradually add the chicken stock, stirring between each addition.
Increase heat to medium and bring mixture to a simmer. Simmer, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens to a gravy-like texture.
Stir in the heavy cream. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently. Turn heat to low and simmer until gravy has thickened to the desired consistency. Stir in pepper. Remove from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning.

No weight room bench? No problem. Sit nice and low in a squat position to isolate the biceps to create your own version of the preacher curl.
Set Up: Lower down into a squat and hold this position. Place the arms in front of the legs, elbows on the thighs, palms facing up.
Execution: Continue to hold the squat position while curling the dumbbells up, keeping the elbows connected to the thighs throughout the entire movement. Perform 10 to 12 reps
Pairing: Alternate this exercise with dumbbell biceps curls with a palms-down wrist position.

So I found this shirt in a box this last Sunday. The first photo is me 2 weeks on Keto...when I saw myself, I was shook! I couldnt believe I let myself to so far. At the time I knew my weight was a problem and causing me health issues... but I didnt think I looked as big as the number on the scale.

I talk to people all day long about my daily shake I drink. Once people hear the price, they’re out 🤷🏻♀️ which makes me laugh cuz that was soooo me before I realized how beneficial this little drink is...
Once I finally gave it after months of my own research, I was hooked! And that’s part of the reason I signed as a coach. I wanted that discount you get 😜 do the math and it comes out to about $3.70/day. I’m sorry, but with the rise of minimum wage, you can’t get a Taco Bell or Wendy’s for under $5 anymore. And truth be told, I’ve never had to pay out of pocket for it 🤷🏻♀️
Think about it this way, it’s like buying 30 meals up front. Plus, this ensures I’m filling in my nutritional gaps cuz let’s face it, I like to party and I don’t always eat all my veggies 🙊 this little shake makes sure I’m having at least one healthy meal a day.

I share this, not to convince you but simply because I normally have dry, brittle nails. Combination of poor diet I’m sure and my thyroid. The only change I have made these last couple months was drinking this shake daily. My nails right at this moment are long and oh so pretty 🥰 which is something they have never been. They always broke the moment they got long. And they have been this length for over a month now. I’m attributing this little miracle to my superfoods shake! Also, my hair is longer, it gives me a little energy boost and tastes like a chocolate milkshake 🙌🏻 SOLD!

It’s easy: simply pee on the test strips, mail it into the lab, and we get your results!
In addition to info about so many of your hormones (stress hormones, thyroid, estrogens, progesterone, testosterone, etc.), we also get to see how well your body is using its vitamins (B12 for example - are you supplementing enough?). AND we get info about your serotonin, dopamine, and melatonin levels! These neurotransmitters play a big part in how you look and feel.

I’ve always ate a healthy and organic diet and was going to be a dietician before I got sick, if I ate a SAD I’d probably be on my 600 lb life lol 😂 In the past I never weighed more than 120 and rapidly gained weight in my old moldy house, I thought it was just lyme and hypothyroidism. So now I can’t get below 160 it’s worse right now (rapidly gained weight after mold re-exposure back up to one of my highest weight which is SO frustrating.) Before when I was like this my body had switched from secondary adrenal insufficiency which is zero cortisol to super high cortisol almost #cushings
levels virtually overnight. I need to re-test my #cortisol
now as well it could be high again. But I was being checked for cancer because of these rapid fluctuations and really this is all just a result of mold exposure which is so crazy. Anybody else have these kind of maddening weight issues with #lyme #cirs

and living in South Korea. We met on a plane a few years before and like the movies, it really was love at first sight 🥰. 10 years ago the life we have today wasn’t even a twinkle in our eye yet BUT our sense of adventure, ambition, love for our family, friends and all things good was definitely well in place ❤️. 10 years ago I watched him do what he LOVES and 10 years later, he’s still doing what he LOVES and watches me do the same! We have two beautiful kids, we’ve moved 4 times (Utah, AZ, UK, Utah), endured a long deployment and countless TDY’s away. We’ve lost our moms and grandmothers and our beloved Hank, but recently welcomed Finch 🐾! We’ve persevered through the last 10 years and kept moving forward, no matter what, in the pursuit of our dreams, our happiness and started growing our legacy. Time sure flies when you’re having fun and I’m thankful every day I had to take an earlier flight 💕. I can’t imagine doing life with anyone else 💕. .

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve been struggling with my weight the past few years due to my under active thyroid. I was going to the gym, eating right, counting calories and still gaining weight. I tried anything and everything I could, from shakes, to meal plans, dietary supplement, not eating... and while some things allowed me to loose a couple pounds or a few inches around the waist, I felt defeated. Nothing was truly working. I went from being fit to being the heaviest I have ever been. But thankfully my new Dr gave me the opportunity to try something new and IM SO THANKFUL. We have this thing in our house called the hypo hankie…
It’s a special hankie that my sweet husband brings out when I’m feeling anxious or overly sensitive and need to have a good cry. I’m not going to pretend that I don’t cry. I do. Sometimes I cry a lot. So much so that a box of Kleenex won’t do, it necessitates a full on hankie.
Hashimoto’s comes with low mood, anxiety, sensitivity and full on mood swings. When my Hashimoto’s flares, I experience all of these things. It’s not fun. It’s not pretty. And it’s not who I want to be. These are the symptoms that I care most about eliminating. I just want to be me and I am not Hashimoto’s.
Things have gotten A LOT better since I’ve started addressing my root causes. When these feelings rear their ugly heads, I know it’s time to stop, slow down and figure out what’s going on with my body. Did I eat something to trigger it? Am I overdoing it again? Am I stressed?
For me, having a supportive spouse has made all the difference in the world. Being a Hashimoto’s Husband (thanks Dr. Wentz!) is definitely not easy and takes a true saint. I’m so grateful for the patience, love and compassion that I am shown every day, even during my hardest times. Devin and his hypo hankie always make me feel better.
As I write this, tears fill my eyes and I’m wishing for my hypo hankie 😪 That hankie gives me comfort because it’s probably the downright sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. When Devin walked in and asked if I wanted a “hypo hankie” I couldn’t help but smile. Every time it is washed, he folds it up and tucks it away for the next rainy day, which I’m sure he hopes will never come again, and I do too.
Hankies have always been special to me. My Dad always carried a hankie when I was growing up and any time I had a good cry, he would hand over his hankie to dry my tears. No matter the condition it was in, he would always take it back and fold it away in his pocket. I’ve always had the two best men to support me no matter what. I am so thankful for both of them and I hope they both know how much their hypo hankies have meant to me over the years ☺️
