We almost never post selfies here... but I wanted to introduce myself to those of you who haven't been to Revocycle and don't know what we're about! 🌸 I'm Michael and I'm the creator of the Revocycle Mind and Body cycling method. I've been a cyclist for 25 years 12 of which were spent racing around the Midwest, both on- and off- road. I have a Ph.D in biology and was a professor at Davidson College. 🌸 I love cycling exercise the same way a yogi loves her yoga, and for the same reasons.... doing it well, tuning into the body and breath. From time to time, I get wrapped up in the worry of what others think about my working out, my posts, the way I rant and ramble in my stories and the way I share a lot of the imperfections or even positives in my life. I have lived a lot of my life in fear of what people think, that I may be speaking too much—or worse, that I may say the wrong thing. I was the kid in school who pleaded with God not to be called upon because I doubted my answers so much. And I still do. In Work conversations, I find myself just listening in a lot and not participating—mostly for fear that I’ll say the wrong thing.
Even in Motherhood, I constantly doubt my decisions...am I feeding him too much or too little, what about the quality of that food, should I let him climb on that, am I a helicopter Mom, how much TV is too much...and typing it out now makes me feel even more crazy.
But here is what I do know. There is a time when all of that doubt is silenced and I feel as though I own the task at hand and I rarely doubt my talent—and that is when I am teaching or giving advice about fitness.
Truth be told, I had to grow in to this role as well but every single week, helping others find what works for them in the fitness world fuels my confidence and gives me such fulfillment. There are really not a lot of other parts of my life where I feel that I am really good at what I do than I do when I’m doing my fitness thing!
So why is that. Why do I feel that confidence about that area of my life? Passion. This is my passion. It is what fuels my fire and truly gives me joy. And because of this—the passion, the confidence, the fulfillment, etc...because of all of these factors, I decided that if someone doesn’t like the way I post or ramble on or share this part of my life, it’s ok. I am 100% fine with that because this is me. This is the me that God intended for me to be and I can say that without an ounce of doubt. ♥️

My members worked hard today to get through these boards. Our class was small today but our team was fierce. We worked as partners for some drills and individually on others but we were all in it together. I Love coming up with new drills to push myself and my members to challenge our bodies and minds. Most of these classes I haven’t done myself before presenting them to the group so I’m pushing through and enduring them right along with them.

💥 Here is a 12 weeks progress picture of my client Derik. 📈 We have been working hard on proper training & dieting the past 3 months. I had Derik reduced the weights on most of his lifts and focus on training with proper form and body mechanic throughout the session. I made sure his macronutrients are on point to help him lose body fat, build muscles and maintain good energy level throughout the day. 💪🏼 We also included some mobility work and stretching to help Derik improve his range of motion and posture. As you can see his medial rotated shoulder (shoulder pulling forward) has improved greatly & upper chest is lifted!😃 Proud of you Derik!!! 🏃♂️Hamstring Rehab 3.0 🏈 || Assessing & addressing up or down-stream weaknesses & mechanics || There are many other risk factors associated with hamstring strains such as poor lumbo-pelvic control, weak hip extensors & poor running mechanics || Here we are addressing Jakob’s poor ankle stability and calf strength, not just to reduce his chance of hamstring re-injury, but to reduce the chance of further injuries such as ACL, ankle sprain & calf strain || MOST importantly we need to address the weakness to improve his ability to develop ankle stiffness & improve his running mechanics for a return to performance before pre-season begins ‼️#hamstrings #sports #rehab
Grilled Bison Patties (seasoned w/ steak seasoning) - sautéed onions, summer squash, mushrooms, tomatoes, carrots, red peppers, green peppers, zucchini (seasoned with turmeric, garlic powder, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes) On top of buttered (use ghee) shiritaki noodles! Takes about 20 mins for the whole process. Easy, easy and OH MY GOSH DELICIOUS!!
