Happy Monday everyone! This post is kind of long but bare with me..my workout is posted at the end too! Today went so much better than I thought considering I was running on very little sleep; but I couldn't let it slow me down! Now I know I normally post random pictures and you're probably wondering "does she ever even workout?" Well, yes I do I'm just not fancy yet so I don't have a tripod to capture myself in action OR a gym partner to double as my camerman. So, instead I just took random shots throughout my routine.
This is the routine I did today....I'm not going to crazy since I'm getting back into the swing of things again but still wanted to push myself.
Today was Quad & Glute focused 🍑🍑
One mile run for a warm up
1. Squats 4x12
2. Banded & Weighted Hip Thrusts 4x10 (ft. @ashleyjay_fit
peach perfect booty band)
3. Dumbbell Sumo Squats 3x12
4a. Cable Kickbacks 4x12
4b. Cable Hip Abductors 4x12
5. Pulsing Walking Lunges 3x10 ea. Leg (step forward & pulse for 3 counts in the lowered lunge position & then come back up, that's 1) These burn so good! .
Finished up with some Abs
1. 3x10 exercise ball v-up pass (I've posted this one before)
2. Planks for a total of 1 minute each side & normal. Break it down into increments that you can handle if you can't do one minute all at once.
I was definitely tired and sweaty after this but some good stretching was a nice way to cool down. ALWAYS STRETCH before and after exercising as it helps with your recovery & preventing injury 😊
