How does your day typically begin? Do you find you wake up with a positive mindset or a mindset of dread straight up from not wanting to get out of your cosy sheets? Did you know that studies show, if you start your day on a positive note, that positivity will stay with you throughout the entire day?
Here’s just a few things that I’ve been working on first thing in the morning to set myself up for a positive day🌞
✨Before you get out of bed, do a few stretches! Just a few minutes of stretching will release dopamine, improve your self-esteem and mood, and boost your energy levels.
✨Open up the blinds and let the light in! It will provide some energy and help motivate you.
✨ Consider what makes you happy 😁 Just visualizing doing something that makes you happy is bound to make you actually feel happier in return.
✨Lay out your goals for the day! Having goals helps develop a sense of focus and as you mark goals off the list, you feel a sense of accomplishment. That sense of accomplishment will in turn boost your happiness level!
✨Have a big glass of water with lemon essential oil in it. This is a great way to start off your metabolism for the day as it acts as a gentle cleanser, boosts your metabolism and aids your digestion.
✨Pop your diffuser on! My go to uplifting morning blends are lemon + lavender + peppermint together as well as stress away + peppermint
✨Smile!! Look in the mirror and smile for a few seconds. You’d be surprised how much of an impact this immediately has on your outlook for the day!
