I’ve done some chubby to fit transformations but never done the reverse. I can honestly say I was scared to do this at first because I had problematic thinking i might like the before photo.( looking now that’s pretty laughable) I've never looked at these side by side until now and more then ever I feel compelled to share.
So After about a year of working out ( mostly cycling) and not eating right ( barely any carbs and all salads and tofu) I ended up super “thin” , ( mind you I’m 70 % legs so add long twigs to the before) but that still didn’t get me the body I wanted. Losing weight ( I.e: a combo or fat and muscle) got me wide and flat with no definition/shape. I wasn’t getting the results and I wanted bc I wasn’t informed. I was aggravated bc its impossible to gain muscle on a calorie deficit. So my body ended up exhausted, under performing and run down causing me to gain weight, bloat, and have cravings. And vicious cycles! YOU 👏CANT👏FOOL.👏YOUR👏BODY
The body is so much smarter then you, it will not just burn the fat and keep muscle! You will not “ spot reduce” and will end up withered down to your most prominent shape ( ex- a big pear shape, to a small pear shape) you won’t get toned or defined just skinny fat. There are no short cuts to getting a good body.
Don’t be afraid to lift, to eat, to get stronger.. more flexible! Set goals for how you want your body to perform. The physical results WILL follow! I’m still on my journey but I felt complete to share this.
What I prepped for lunch this week. Whole wheat pasta, spicy tomato sauce with ground turkey, and broccoli. I’ll be switching up my breakfast and dinner throughout the week! 🌱

I actually go hardcore on my glutes & I squeeze religiously!
From trying many different variations, I found my progress wouldn’t be optimized if I don’t have at least 2 days per week, each day with +25 total sets of 8-10 reps at above 80% of my 1RM! .
سلام دوستاى خوبم 👋🏼 خيلى در مورد ورزشهاى باسنم ميپرسين، دارم سعى ميكنم بيشتر بهتون نشون بدم چقدر سنگين بايد باسن كار بشه كه بدون دارو به اين برجستگى برسه. مشكل دارو زدن براى دختر اينه كه هم صداش كلفت ميشه هم بقيهء جسه اش هم از ظرافت در مياد.
ساختن باسن خوش فرم و برجسته چيزى نيست كه خيلى سريع اتفاق بيافته. من هم از وزنهء 2 كيلويى شروع كردم و هفته اى ٦ بار كار كردم كه توى دو سال الان به ١٢٢ كيلوگرم وزنه زدن باسن رسيدم! 🧿
شما هم اگر واقعا باسن به اين برجسته اى ميخواين بايد هفته اى حداقل ٤ روز يك ساعت و نيم تا ٢ ساعت هر دفعه كار كنين و وزنه رو كم كم ببرين بالا.

So cycling in this weather is going to be out of question as winter descends. Way too cold - and cycling in freezing temps is not my idea of fun. To start with, I found a yoga place which I'm trying out for a week. I also need to find something to get my heart rate racing - looking for options - let's see what I land up with. After my 100 day challenge, I need something new to keep me motivated and on track!

Don’t let other people or external pressures dictate how you feel - know your own value and trust that some things may take longer to achieve than others. But don’t compromise on your goals by settling for less than you set out for. Chase those dreams and make them happen 👊🏻

Good evening honeys! Happy Tuesday.
So I wanted to pop on here tonight to talk about wellness. Wellness isn’t the amount of workouts you do each week, or how many salads you’ve squeezed into one day. Wellness is looking after you!
We’re all busy bees, but somehow we manage to juggle our day to day activities, with fitness, healthy eating and socialising with friends. But if anything else takes its toll, suddenly juggling all of these things becomes quite challenging. Honeys you’re not alone. Everyone, and I mean everyone has hard times in life. They have times when their wellness gets pushed to the bottom of the pile, purely because of life and what life throws at us. Next time this happens to you I want you to take a step back. Think about all of the things in your life that are happening right now, and decide where your priorities should be. Place your finger on that and push the others down the list. This priority and your wellness should come first. Your wellness is always a priority, and you only every have room for two priorities. So be picky and decide where you can focus your energy.
This way of thinking is so simple, take the pressure off yourself and say no. Do what you can and where you’re needed the most put the other things to the side and focus on those later.

A bit of a different one 🌟.... I used to be able to get down into flat splits easily and clearly from the first image I am no longer flat
Today was the first time in months I properly committed time at the end of my workout to stretching
In general my flexibility has gone down since getting into fitness, as my focus has shifted to building muscle not stretching it
A few years ago my version of a workout was 10mins of ‘exercise’ followed by 15mins of stretching ... because that’s still exercise right?!? Nope 🤦♀️
So hopefully in a months time I can do a similar (better filmed - @closeupofmyfood

Clean & Jerk
Wasn’t working on Monday so avoided getting myself into the gym; so I missed this oly lifting session, but got it done this morning with the .com crew 🏋️♂️
Again another movement that I’m not keen on doing with my back the way it is; but woke up this morning relatively pain free, with only slight nerve pain and no stiffness moving which is good for me believe it or not 👍
Again I didn’t manage too much of a warm up other than some activation stuff but my movement felt pretty good despite being super rusty- haven’t squat cleaned in a very long time, hence why my movement is perhaps a bit apprehensive 🤷♂️ All under the watchful eye of @physiomike
All round good session though and nice to be able to work light weights with a more technical focus 🤓

Didn’t feel it this morning.......did it anyway.
Had a lot going against me this morning. It’s a bit chilly, I’m exhausted from working long and hard hours, I had a super intense leg workout yesterday, and worst of all I have this nagging throat thing that just won’t go the hell away. BUT (gotta love a big but), I still dragged my ass out of bed and got my 3 miles in today. Now to do all the errands that I don’t have time to do during the week 🙄
Damn. Great workout today. Gave myself an extra hour to go longer. Treadmill to start, then some HIIT legs, then another round on the treadmill, and added some EMOM barbell exercises to finish up. I’m tired, but feeling great! Now.....food!!
Leg day done ✅. Is my butt in shape enough yet to land a record album??
