10 years ago I was a senior in high school (and about 50 pounds lighter). We have our 10 year reunion later this year and I actually can’t believe how quickly time has passed! All I can say is to make sure you fill your time with things you are passionate about. I started taking weightlifting more seriously right after graduating high school. Not only has it made me healthier, but it’s given me an outlet to help share my knowledge with you all!

I’m posting this because truth be told, I haven’t worked out at all this week. Truth be told, my nutrition has been off.. an “I had hot chocolate for lunch” kinda week. Truth be told, my self care sucks. But that doesn’t mean I’m still not fit, that doesn’t mean I’m not healthy, and that damn sure doesn’t mean anything about my value as a person. It’s Wednesday, maybe you got your 🏋️♂️ in, maybe you got some extra 💤 instead. That’s okay too 🤷🏻♀️. Health means sometimes pushing yourself - and sometimes giving yourself a couple days to recoup after a stressful period. So don’t hate yourself if you haven’t gone “balls to the wall” with your workouts.. rest up. Protect your energy and use it when you’re ready 💕
I do these every leg day before my workout!
Side lying hip abduction(each side) 3x12
Glute bridge with abduction 3x12
Donkey kicks (each leg) 3x12
Fire hydrants (each leg) 3x12
Banded squats (make sure to do the ugly squeeze at the top) 3x12
Work it Wednesday went great! This Bulgarian split squat is a new exercise for me at physical therapy. Here I have my repaired leg back which is more difficult for me. If you watch the full video you can see at the beginning I'm leaning forward. I have to take coaching before I can improve my technique and lean back and go straight down. It was really a great stretch and that I will get better at. I did also enjoy @rebcurran
