Consciously deciding who I am and being that woman has been an internal struggle (to say the least) for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I have hired coaches and done online mentoring programs; for physical, business, and personal development. I have sifted through shit, been heartbroken, said goodbye to friendships, cried, laughed, lost and won- in all areas of my life. Living with intention, integrity and purpose gives me a feeling like NO OTHER. It lights me the fukk up, I am on fire and I get shit done!! I LOVE it when I am living on PURPOSE! I have a couple cling on behaviors that show up when things are cruising along so nicely in my life. I get bored of being so "good" and "healthy." This is actually what my EGO (edgin God out) tells me. My highest self LOVES and thrives In self care! Sometimes the Ego wins and I nose dive into garbage. I used to hang out in the garbage for a longgg time. I would then allow the garbage to rent a room in my head for a few months. I have improved over the years. Instead of dumpster diving; I usually just dive into a kitchen catcher size now. I don't stay there for weeks or months. Its a couple days max. Usually no more than one. Forget about being fit this time. We all should focus to be healthy, physical and mentally. If we could write a β€œto do” list of the things we need to do to be physically healthy, this will be it: 1- Have an appropriate balanced nutrition. 2- Exercise at least three times a week. Go for a walk, run, swim. Do it for your cardiovascular condition. 3- Visit your doctors on a routine basis. I want to emphasize in the third one, and is something I have not read/heard much on the fitness motivation pages I follow. Part of being healthy, which is the first step to be fit, is to go to your doctors and be on top of health. This example is very common: You’re training one day and you are performing a movement and you feel something strange in X part (lower back, shoulder, elbow), but you ignore it and keep going. Next time you feel it again, you just keep ignoring it because you only feel it when you are training. Time passes, it gets more painful and now is interrupting your daily routine. You decide to go to the doctors and when results come in, the situation is hard, severe or its too late to fix that pain/ injury with therapy or medication and know the only option is to proceed to surgery procedures. And we ask ourselves β€œwhy I didn’t checked that sooner?” β€œWhat could I have done to prevent this injury?” Does it makes sense for us to delay and ignore a pinch/ pain to continue training? The reason we started training is to be healthy and to get older in a healthy condition, not to get older and have a list of surgeries we have been through because we ignored them. Injuries affect directly our training and sometimes our nutrition, we need to be on top of any pain we feel. At the end of the day we want to prevent, not to remediate. Stay healthy. Stay focused. I hope there are days when your coffee tastes likes magic, your playlist makes you dance, strangers make you smile, and the sky touches your soul. . And I hope this picture seduces you (lol) . I love a good Pinterest quote search because it makes me think. πŸ‘‡πŸΌ There are a lot of days that we can let get us down because our coffee burned our tongue. Or we aren’t feeling our music. Or we get creeped out if a stranger smiles at us. And we’re feeling down because the sky is gray. . Other days we are on cloud 9, everything feels good, we’re really feeling ourselves. Why can’t everyday be like that? . Because sometimes we just think it’s not possible. . I have been practicing positive self talk - major psych up. Yesterday I had a huge test and I was feeling down like ugh I suck I won’t pass - it won’t be a good outcome. And then I found myself freaked out. So I changed my outlook. I drove in a silent car, me myself and I saying out loud : you are a badass. You are smart af. You will succeed. You are good at what you do. You know the answers. And guess what, I did. I passed. I succeed. I am GREAT at what I do. . Start talking to yourself. Hype yourself up. For your workout. For your exams. For your date. And then everyday can be like the magic in coffee, dancing with your playlists, smiling first at strangers, and feeling good about anytime of color in the sky. .
