At 1.54am Sunday morning, day and night will be of equal length. This Equinox time can feel potent, ripe with the richness of the dark months to come.
Here in our ancient land, bears would have gone into hibernation. Many animals still do. Are you similarly winding down from the firey sociability and busy of summer into a gentler, quieter way of being?
The leaves are starting to turn rich golden, amber, and red. The hips, haws, mushrooms and apples are abundant. And soon the winter migrant birds will flock here for a warmer, easier winter. Life around us is dropping - in and down, in and down. Is there something you also want to let go of in your life and that no longer serves you? It could be an old belief pattern; clothes that don’t fit; job; or friendship perhaps. Or perhaps instead you want to invite in a greater abundance of something new?
Yesterday as I wandered on the moor in the mist, lent hard into the wind, watched rainbows with childlike delight, and howled into the thrashing rain, I knew what was needed - I call for freedom in my body. Freedom to dance. Freedom to sing. Freedom to draw and paint. Freedom from self-consciousness. Freedom to express myself fully. And love. I call in love. For as much as I love my family, friends, gorgeous dog, Dartmoor and nature, I‘m ready again to meet my new love. I’m sure he’s out there somewhere!! Happy Autumn Equinox & Mabon to you all. What are you letting go of/calling in today? 🌿👣☀️🏞🍂🍄#momentsofmine #equinox #autumn
