on April 9th 1970 was one of the most electrifying and emotional political moments in the #history
It was one of the largest or more likely the largest political #gathering
in our nation's history and sent shockwaves through the echelons of power at the time.
Basil Davis was one of a number of citizens who have been felled by the local constabulary.
He was gunned down in #coldblood
during a protest #demonstration
. The circumstances of his murder have been well documented by #NJAC
Basil was a #fighteragainstinjustice #enemyofinjustice
Over the past 10 months I have lived in fear that I too could be #murdered
by the #police
or by anyone who may be willing to be a #henchman
for a former police officer.
Yesterday men claiming to be #policemen
visited my office in an unmarked vehicle.
I intend to insist that any interaction between myself and the #cops
must be under the full gaze of the public.
I do not intend to suffer the same fate as persons who have been detained for questioning for something of little consequence but ended up mysteriously dead in a #policestation
I am quite cognizant of the presence of #evilforces #principalitiesandpowers #rulersofdarkness #spiritualwickednessinhighplaces
I am also mindful that in my own #battlesagainstinjustice
some strategic excuse can be used to kill me.
I am very conscious as well that because I know my rights and I am not willing to easily surrender them to any police officer who does not respect that, I would be easily inclined to give the police a lot of #backtalk
I have already experienced being placed under the #guns
of several policemen.
I am not sure how I would respond when past hurts and injustices well up within me.
In the circumstances, I think that in itself places my life in even greater danger.
With those thoughts in mind I decided yesterday on Day 16 of my #yatra
to visit the #SanJuanPublicCemetery
to reflect upon the experiences of #1970
Yesterday I also walked the #justicetrail
in preparation for #TheVerdantValeExperience
. I think I should also do something along that trail in commemoration of the #martyrs
