Been a long week.. been working 60+ hours a week for about 5 months now and gone to the gym every single day. Today it finally hit me, exhausted, sore, ached body and drained. My man been putting in solid work since day one. He starting to look like my twin. 🤣💯🤣 Anywho I’m proud of him. His consistency as you see and willingness to learn is what’s getting him his results. So many thoughts come flooding through my mind as I was cooking this meal for our sweet elderly neighbors 💭 It’s been difficult to get back into our normal routine since we’ve been back from Georgia 😐 So, instead of thinking of all the 👎🏻👎🏻 things we’ve got going on + coming up, I’m trying to see the best of things... . ✨Thankful for the many, many years that we had with our original fur baby. She came to us through hurricane circumstances + left us through hurricane circumstances. She definitely has seen us through the best of times + through some really hard times + my husband + I swear she was a million times more difficult to care for as a puppy than both our children combined 🐶 ✨Thankful for the bunnies that we still get to see hopping around our backyard, especially since our dog loved them so much 🐰 ✨Thankful for the time, means, + ability to bless our neighbors with a meal every other weekend. The sweet old man cares so deeply for his wife suffering with late stage Alzheimer’s + the love they display is such a powerful witness to us 👴🏻👵🏻 ✨Thankful for my husband’s job + the stability that he has with his career + that he works so hard to provide for us. The fall + winter months are terribly long for him (+ me!), but he loves what he does + is making a positive impact on the lives of so many 🌟 ✨Thankful for the two little ones that God has blessed us so tremendously with. Way too many times I get hung up on the fact that we really do want more children (always wanted a minimum of 4) + that can take away meaningful times with the children we have. Words just cannot describe how thankful + grateful + loved our babies are 💙💖 ✨Thankful that we live where we live. Nothing could be finer... 💙 ✨Thankful for our church + small group through our church. We are still trying to figure out our place there + thankful for the grace + love that is constantly shown to us from our church family ⛪ ✨ Thankful that I can keep going + going with my list of positives, even through these are the main ones that went scrolling thru my brain as I was cooking their meal ♥️ . ✨What are YOU thankful for?✨
How to stay consistent with your strength training regimen? 1- Do NOT rely on motivation. Motivation comes and goes. Some days you'd be super excited to go to the gym, while others you'd be dreading to go .. This is why relying on motivation is tricky. Focus instead on 'work ethic'. Just like you go to work because you need to make that $, you're investing your time and energy for a salary to support you and your family, on the same token, you go to the gym to be healthy and fit , you're investing your time and energy for your quality of life. your paycheck is your vitality. 2- Each and every one of us has a different 'why'. If you find your deepest, most sincere reason as to why you're training, you will be more likely to stick with it. I suggest you to write your 'why' on a piece of paper and put it in a place where it can be seen on a daily basis (purse, mirror, fridge etc). Making your 'why' tangible and visible will serve as a reminder to you of your commitment. 3-Schedule weekly appointments with yourself. Specify days and times you'd be training. Treat it like you're meeting a VIP business client; you wouldn't cancel important business meetings, so why would you cancel meetings with the most important person in your life ??? <3 #findyourwhy #healthiswealth
