What a crazy Monday! My day started with my new front and fire doors being installed (see my stories for pics) and pulling weeds. It took me 4 hours! 😫 I let the yard go because of all of the rain. Bad bad decision on my part. On the plus side it was a bright and sunny day! 💯 . [Swipe for progress pics] This is going to be long, sorry not sorry . In July of 2018 I posted here that I wanted to lose weight. At the time, I weighed about 157lbs and I hated the way I looked. I started dieting, but with my crazy schedule I had trouble with exercising consistantly. In December I was so stressed I barely ate and I went down to 151lbs; and it was difficult to keep from willfully starving myself because I “finally saw results”. My amazing boyfriend @davidmrenner (💕) made sure I started eating regularly again over the holidays, so I thankfully didn’t develop an eating disorder, but I was close. . In mid-January I was back to where I started, but I decided I wanted to try something different: weight lifting. I started going to the gym 2-3 times a week for 1.5hrs. For the first time, I enjoyed working out because lifting gave me tangible goals and a feeling of accomplishment that hours on a treadmill never could. . This weekend I stepped on a scale and realized I weighed more than I did before I started: 164lbs as opposed to 157lbs. I freaked out because society tends to tell us that the number on the scale is the only thing that matters. It wasn’t until I talked to my boyfriend and then took some photos of myself that I realized that number isn’t the most important thing. Not only do I feel stronger, but when I look at the photos side by side I personally think I look better. . It’s not a huge change, but it’s enough for me to see. I’m not insanely strong yet, but I’m getting stronger after every workout. Most importantly, I’m feeling more confident than ever. If you’re on a fitness journey and are feeling stuck like I was, give lifting a try. It just might become your new favorite thing💪🏻 . GROWTH HAPPENS WHEN WE MAKE OURSELVES UNCOMFORTABLE! So here’s a vulnerable ass photo of me in the MOST uncomfortable body shape of my life! Showing this journey in hopes of inspiring lot of you to FIND YOUR LIGHT & KNOW ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. SO heres 1 WEEK DOWN and I am down 5.2 pounds (most of it being water weight) but it just shows you how important consistency is! It FINALLY gives me sooo much confidence that I ACTUALLY WILL be able to do this Cutting thing again! Babe! Despite how much confidence you had in me, I was getting sooo scared that I had lost my Will Power Muscle! I wasn’t able to stick to my nutrition plan. I wasn’t able to commit long enough to see results. BECAUSE GUESS WHAT?!?! I was approaching my body transformation from what I HATED about my body rather than the things I wanted to make better! So three weeks ago I went back to the drawing board to see what worked for me in the past and it was having someone HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE! A COACH! So like I had mentioned last week, I decided to hire a coach for my cut. As of right now I am NOT committed to competing but rather COMMITTED to living the healthiest life starting from the inside out! It’s SOOOO DAMN liberating working towards a goal that is SOLELY & ONLY to sooth my own soul! Do you feel me on this? When I was competing, I was creating a body type I didn’t LOVE! I was ALWAYS trying to get “BIGGER” & “GAIN MORE MUSCLE” for a title! But you know what’s sad? Even when I was “In my BEST shape” I would still cover my arms when I went out with friends because I was afraid I was “TOO MUCH” or “TOO BIG” I wasn’t in love with the person I was creating. BUT I am a competitive person. I HATE Losing. So I kept going after this look to “hopefully get a Pro Card” in Bodybuilding. But do you know what’s worse than LOSING? LOSING YOURSELF IN SEARCH OF TRYING TO PROVE YOURSELF TO NO ONE. So next time you think about starting a Fitness Program to change the things you HATE about your body…THINK AGAIN! You are a beautiful woman. The only thing you need to change is the way you view yourself! Live life out of pure passion for your being! Live life for YOUR FIREY SOUL!

That workout was tough!! Beginning to my week, and the start of chapter 2! 💪💪💪
So this is what more (high quality) calories do... . . Scale weight DOWN this morning despite 350g of Carbs yesterday & considerably more calories than I was on. . . This morning I pumped out 10 unassisted pull ups (it took me 2 sets to do them but we got there 💁🏽‍♀️), dead hang, full extension. Not to mention 50kg Pendlay rows, & a heap of other upper body exercises. You gotta love it when the guy you’re working in with at the pull ups bar stands back and says “impressive” 😆 . . And I loved every minute of it because I felt strong & I’m fuelling my body, as opposed to struggling through, just wanting it to be over. All aboard the gain train 🚂 . . . Two of my favourite arm exercises have to be; 1️⃣ Rolling Skull Crushers 2️⃣ EZ Bar Bicep Curls A few tips for both: 💀Skull Crushers 💀 - Lower the weight with control towards to top of your forehead before reaching back for that extra stretch - As you press the bar back to the starting position focus on pressing up towards the roof without letting the bar travel to far forwards. You want to keep the load behind your elbow so that your triceps don't get a 'rest' at the top position. 💪EZ Bar Bicep Curls 💪 I personally prefer the EZ Bar over a straight bar because of the angled handle it's more comfortable on my wrists/forearms. - Use a weight that you can control the lowering (eccentric) portion of the movement and fully extend your elbow at the bottom position. - Initiate the curl with your biceps, not with momentum or a hip thrust. - As you curl the bar up, avoid letting your elbows travel backwards. Instead, keep your elbows just in front of your body and curl up, squeezing your biceps hard and stopping just before your wrist is vertically stacked above your elbow. Leg day, new workout and new reps and sets. Here is part of my routine Split squats- hard to get the right form. Just make sure you knee does not go past your toes, your other knee is going down and you have a wide stance. It’s ok to readjust yourself and wobble, we all do it! Leg press - reps were 25,20,15,12 yes I stayed pretty light on those. Always remember to push through your heels not toes. Seated leg curls - You have to adjust every setting in the seat to get it just right 😩 it’s a pain but it does work those hamstrings. What did my day look like? Made a pitcher of citrus water. I had a “Greek” salad; romaine, peperoncinis, salami, New York Strip, Greek Dressing, and Italian cheese. My dad is liking the Keto meal so far . . It’s really fun when you do it right. . . He has a Santa Clause belly right now 🙃 and he is in his late 50’s, he has been raised with Carb diet his entire life since he is central Asian, and carbs are huge there. . . Now, I am slowly working with him to shred the fat, tone up, build muscle. . . We are doing it very slowly. I want him to enjoy the process instead of stress about it. Because he loves Afghan bread 🍞😫 which is full of bad carbs . And we are slowly going to work on his fitness. He is very good when it comes to fitness. Eat in a moderate calorie deficit. 2. Eat enough protein and lots of whole foods. 3.Lift weights to build strength & muscle. 4. Stressing and complaining 🧐how good is it for your health? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ the truth is that getting a toned body is simple. A LOT simpler than it’s made out to be. ⠀ Many-a-folk mistakenly think it’s all about “losing weight.” That, in turn, leads to crash dieting, excessive cardio to burn as many calories as possible, and often performing specific exercises to “firm up” their problem areas... ⠀ In truth, toning has little to do with losing weight — it’s all about losing FAT to reveal the muscle underneath! 💪✅ ⠀ And the absolute best way to lose fat & build muscle is to consistently have a structured meal to start with (to get into a good habit)& lift weights. . . ⠀ Now, none of this mean you can’t do cardio or juice your veggies... ⠀ If you enjoy doing those things, keep doing you! ⠀ But if you wanna build a bodacious booty 🍑, lean & muscular arms 💪, & an all-around fit looking physique... ⠀ ✅✅✅✅Then your energy & focus should go towards:✅✅✅ ⠀ Lifting weights 🏋️ Controlling your calories 📝 Eating a balanced diet 🥩🥗🍎🥔 And as always... staying patient 🤗⏰” Appreciate the journey and being greatfull — ⠀

😱🤔🔥 ・・・ 🔥 The principles of fat loss🔥 - Follow @dancudes ! - One of the key factors that I speak about when it comes to fat loss is living a lifestyle, not a fad. When you treat everything as a lifestyle, you begin to develop habits that unconsciously make losing fat so easy. On the other hand, when you follow a fad, you generally are going to fall off the wagon quite quickly and get right back where you originally started if not at a worse place. When I say living a lifestyle, I mean developing the foundations of nutrition which is whole food without overeating, as simple as that is yet few understand. Once you have that, then we can talk about the other things involved. So, in terms of fat loss, you need to first have the foundation of eating whole foods and putting yourself in a caloric deficit through exertion. To lose body fat, being in a caloric deficit is important, but not as important as how you get there. We want it through exertion not food restriction. This means eating what your body needs in whole foods, then burning off extra calories through exerting more energy. That can be an extra walk, extra cardio work in the gym post strength training, etc. Once you have that, the next most important thing is strength training to build lean muscle mass. The more you have, the easier it is to lean out whilst getting stronger and more shapely. Then we can talk about sleep which some may even argue to be more important than strength training and honestly I wouldn't disagree all that much. Then we can get to the nitty gritty like protein intake, nutrient timing and even meal composition. You got to have the foundation before we get to the other players involved.
