A couple of months back I mentioned I was going to review each item in the budget. Thought I'd start with this one... These small changes over the last year has averaged to roughly a £50 a month saving. ⭐Over the year, I've learnt to be organized and plan my trips. So if I have anything to do, I wait till a time I'm already out. Better still, I keep it local. I used to love a mission, jump on the motorway and head to a different city but that costs and i would rather head to my local shop. ⭐ Exercising at home is just something which works better for me. The local gyms are quite pricey and whether it's paying for a membership or petrol, neither I'm happy with. ⭐ Family and friends, this sounds harsh right? But is there anyone else here who runs around to see everyone but no one can be bothered to come to them? It's like I will forever pay the price for moving away. So I think a compromise is fair. ⭐This is such a small thing but I've noticed if I keep popping £10 here or there... 5 lots of £10 doesn't last as long as a full tank costing £50.

I started out wanting to share what worked for me and help others with their health and fitness with a program that helped me get ‘unstuck’ from a weight loss plateau, hypothyroidism, and adrenal fatigue. But now, after spending a little over a year helping others, I have evolved into wanting other women to experience what I have from this opportunity, too. It’s up to you if you want to walk, jog, or run with this business but the bottom line is that what you put into it is what you will get out of it!⠀

Latest blog post up, link in bio 👆✌️🙋 Food was definitely one of our weak spots back when we were accruing debt, we just couldn't find a system that worked for us. We used to spend £500 or so per month on food and at that point, we were eating so badly because most of it was unhealthy convenience food or takeaways. It's so depressing spending that much on food and never feeling like there is anything to eat at home! But we were doing big monthly online shops with lots of expensive items that you could barely make a meal of and convenience foods, and top up shopping frantically without a plan. Then, when it came to dinner time, we would cave and get takeaways a lot because it was always easier than scraping together a meal from our mish-mash of ingredients.
Where are we now? Well, we have finally figured out a routine that works for us and are now at the stage where we spend <£300 per month including takeaways. We eat so much healthier, we barely waste a thing, the cupboards are stocked and I've been able to afford to start donating groceries to our local food collections because we are finally not exceeding our budget. These are pretty simple tips but they've worked really well for me so I hope they work for you too! And don't forget to share your own grocery budget tips below 😀✌️
I really hope my budget overview on my Instagram stories this morning helped you in creating your next paycheck budget!
I have received over 100 messages after I posted the video, so I will be replying to those questions as soon as I can.
I wanted to take a minute and say that when it comes to the actual numbers used in your budget they need to be a clear reflection of what's happening in your own life.
It's the process of this method that I really want you to learn and understand because it will be those steps that help you figure out which values and numbers you need to have for your own budget.
So here is a quick run down of the Budget-by-Paycheck steps that you need to take
1. Write all of your bills and their amounts on your budget calendar. Also include any appointments or events that you need to include in your budget. Remember, your calendar is your reminder system.
2. Write down your paydays on your calendar and figure out what bills you want to pay with each paycheck.
3. Fill out the Bill Tracker. List your regular bills, and then subtract those bills from your budgeted income for that paycheck. Remember to use the "worse case scenario" for your budgeted income.
4. Figure out which categories you want to use for your cash envelopes and the base limits you want to use for those envelopes. Make sure to check out my IGTV channel to learn how to complete this process.
5. Use any leftover income after paying your regular bills to dedicate to your cash envelopes.
6. If you have any income leftover, use it to make an extra debt payment or a savings contribution.
I highly recommend heading over to my IGTV channel to watch all of the videos I have saved there. It will help answer a lot of your questions.
This system can seem overwhelming at first, but I promise you that it will change your financial life. Stay patient, stay dedicated, and stay the course. You got this!
I will be doing a full September Budget Recap, debt update, and business income update shortly! Trust me, you're not gonna want to miss these videos!
Did you find today's budget overview helpful?

Planning on heading out to a corn maze or a pumpkin patch, but want to keep your fall fun frugal? Use social media to your advantage!
Back in August, I started *liking* and *following* FB accounts, IG accounts and blogs for a bunch of local places that offer fall activities.
I keep an eye on these accounts, watching for offerings of coupons, discount days and freebies, and I enter any contest or giveaway that appeals to me. Not only do I enter under my accounts, but I enter under my husband’s accounts as well.
As luck would have it, we just found out this morning that my husband won a pack of 4 tickets to a local pumpkin farm! All he did to be eligible to win these tickets was *like* the farm’s FB page and answer a question about the farm on the FB page of a local radio station. It took less than 2 minutes to enter and we won 4 tickets, worth $20! S W I P E ⬅️ to see the message!
Now, just because we won this one giveaway doesn’t mean we won’t enter any others. My sister has 5 kids and I would love to win some tickets that we could pass on to her family!
As the seasons change, I will unlike/unfollow these particular accounts and move onto the next ones so my social media feeds won’t be too cluttered.
What do you think about this tip for Frugal Fall Fun? Maybe I’ll post more of them! 😁

✨Picking out a new kitchen for our home has been quite the dream come true for this cooking obsessed Mama! Our new home does not come with a kitchen (literally, nothing but plugs and an empty room) and so we had to find the best option for our budget, style, and timeline. .
We are a debt free family (I spent a good 6 years paying off lots of 💰) and enjoy staying this way to the best of our abilities. We do not spend money that we do not have, we live simply, and we spend the majority of our time in nature, which is free! We wear the same clothes over and over again, we fix things that are broken, hem those that are torn, and talk about any purchases that we are looking to make with minimalism and our future in our minds. .
✨I chose to opt for an IKEA kitchen and the choice was absolutely the right one. I was able to log on to the computer and build it with my own imagination ( and budget!) and had it looked over by one of their kitchen specialists for approval. How amazing is that?
In order to pay off the full amount for the IKEA bill, we have decided to do the “Envelope Method” by Dave Ramsey. We have decided to not touch our savings and use a loan instead. Our goal is to pay off this bill within 12 months and be debt free again! .
Why am I telling you this? I believe that money is something we do not talk ENOUGH about. Sharing budgets, ways to save, and the reality of life is so much more important than hiding behind debt or a pretty picture. .
This is real life. Reality is, we took out a loan for a kitchen. Reality is, we are not touching our savings for this new home. Reality is, we have a goal and we are going to crush it🙌🏼.
P.s. I will blog all about how the envelope method works and how you can crush your budget goals as well! .

#malaenxuta #minimalismo #essencialismo #lighttravel #budget

GET AHEAD HABITS
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you say "no" enough?
No to people whose agenda may jeopardize your financial goals?
No to distractions from a lifestyle that will propel you towards your goals?
No to environments or situations that drain your energy and sense of optimism about your money targets?
According to Warren Buffett (google him if need be), really successful people say no A LOT.
So. An unexpected habit to develop: start saying No.
I've recently said no to working fulltime, as I want to keep pursuing my money-coaching business (developing an online course; hoping to launch beta Jan 2019!).
What have you said no to, that has contributed to your financial life?
H E A D B O A R D
I can't believe I went so long without a headboard. Can you even imagine not having one? Once I moved I didn't bring my old headboard with me as it just wasn't even worth keeping, it didn't fit right and woukdnt go with my new decor, So I abandoned it, cya!! I haven't had one since May and I always look at my bed and think "urgh you look so ugly and I can't pinpoint why". But durrrr, obviously it's the fact I have no blimmin headboard. But with prioritising money for the more important bits that I need, I had to put the headboard to the back of my head (no pun intended ha). But I just can't take it anymore, it literally ruins the room and it is bugging me too much! I've been hunting through selling sites looking to see if any goodens come up but there's been nothing I like in immaculate condition, so literally yesterday I added a couple from different websites to my basket and was thinking about getting it on the credit card (not a good move, although I'm actually VERY sensible with the credit card, I think there's about £100 spent on it with pretty much zero interest) but as I've been on nights I haven't had a chance to decide which one I want. But then last night on my break, I saw this posted on Facebook, brand new, I repeat BRAND NEW for £20!! Decent! Oh I'm such a bargain hunter. With all this saving the pennies and the bargains I get, you'd think I would have loads of money spare, wouldn't you? Nope!! God knows where it all goes.
Well. Don't get too excited. I finish my night shift this morning and drive straight to collect it. I get home so excited to set it up. Guess what, IT DOESNT FIT FFS.
The lady told me the wrong size. Thanks mate!
Now I'm sulking because it looks so pretty. I'm reselling it and treating myself tonight to a brand-new one from an online shop. Preferably a shop that won't tell me the wrong size. Oh and I'm being good and not using my credit card. These bargains aren't always the real deal I'm afraid!
Chinese on its way, only just finished my nights this morning and I have uni tomorrow morning so my sleeping pattern is completely messed up!
Happy Wednesday 💕
