Needed a quick workout today. Went with a solid total body effort that left me feeling challenged but ready and energized to take on a busy day.
Four rounds of:
Overhead press 6 reps
Front squat 6 reps
RDL 6 reps
Deadlift 6 reps
90 seconds between exercises and rounds.
Wake Up and Lace Up
Barbell Strength 930 am
Cardio Dance Party 1035 am
Strength training + cardio = results
Ok guys 🤦🏻♀️ yesterday I asked if you all wanted me to post my workout & a lot of you said yes, which is awesome but I completely forgot to film the last portion of it- barbell rows!
So, I started with 2 sec paused squats
Then overhead press 6x5
Then barbell rows 5x8. I’m still getting the hang of that motion and unfortunately don’t have the video to show you them, but next time I promise!
Thinking about next week showing each lift separately, so squat variations, press variations & deadlift variations that I’m doing in this program! Would you guys like that? I definitely want to show more videos if you think they are helpful 😊
would like to introduce you to
Clark "Q" "Quincy". Take a minute to get to know him better.
I'd like to start this off by saying that if you've ever met or interacted with Quentin, you know how genuine, funny and talented he is. He has an infectious laugh and makes everyone feel welcome and successful. He also likes to say silly things like "shake your biscuits" and what else? :) Where you are from? Garden City, Kansas

✅ Fix Your Ab Wheel Roll-out
Ab-wheel roll-outs, being an anti-extension exercise, serve to strengthen the anterior part of your core to avoid extension under load. This is the same principle behind planks, as you’re aiming to keep your core engaged and your lumbar spine in a neutral and safe position. Similarly, in a roll-out, the goal is to minimize lumbar hyperextension by tucking your hips under (posterior pelvic tilt) and maintaining that position throughout the movement.
Arching of the lower back is one very common mistake, but shooting back with the hips on the way up is also doing yourself a disservice.
By breaking at the hips on the concentric part of the movement, you effectively disengage your core, which makes the exercise a whole lot easier but also less effective. The correct way of returning back to the start position would be by moving your entire body as a unit, as you would in a ‘moving plank’.
Try that out next time you attempt these, and if you are new I suggest doing them towards a wall where you can limit your ROM and focus on technique. Three sets of 5 reps is a good place to start!
As a side note, talking on camera really was a struggle but we out here trying 😅
Love it, live it. #abwheel
