Let’s talk gluten, shall we?
It’s such a hot topic with businesses marketing this, that, and the other thing as gluten free to dawn that “health halo”. Just because something is gluten free, doesn’t mean it’s healthy. A gluten free cookie is still a cookie (still probably delicious). So many people don’t even know what gluten is, but are marketed to believe it’s bad for us. Gluten is a protein, who would have thought, right? It’s found in wheat, barley, and rye. My traditional education teaches me the only people who HAVE to avoid it are those with Celiac Disease. However, more progressively, it is thought that people (including myself) can be gluten intolerant or gluten sensitive. What does this look like? Different for everyone. And that’s the biggest thing with nutrition and something you’ll hear me say a lot...it depends!!
Now it’s your turn to talk! Do you think a gluten sensitivity is legit or just hype?? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
